The globalisation ended the government monopoly in almost all sectors of economy and proliferated capitalistic approach. India saw the dawn of modernization and urbanization of its cities with the growth of BPOs and IT sector generating large number of employment opportunity in the tertiary sector. The purchasing power of the consumer started increasing and rate of poverty and illiteracy also declined. Numbers of malls are significantly increasing and modern recreational activities largely revolve around these kinds of built spaces.
