Background of the study

Our topic is the “Impact of quality management practices on organizational performance”. In this report, we will illustrate different points such as quality management definition, literature review, problem description, and practical implications. The main objective of this report is to know what is the effect of quality management in organizational on the purpose of enhancing their products, and services. Another objective is to help us in better understanding for quality management in general. Quality Management System is described as: a management system to control, monitor, and direct an organization with respect to quality that focuses on the organizational processes, customers and continuous improvement. In other words, a Quality Management System is “a set of interrelated or interacting processes used to guide and lead an organization so that its products or services meet the established requirements”. Quality management uses strategy, data, and effective communications to integrate the quality discipline into the culture and activities of the organization
The Eight Principles of Quality Management:
The eight principles of quality management are used as a guide for organizations toward improving their performance. The principles are derived from the collective knowledge and experience of international experts who participate in ISO Technical Committee.
To improve organization’s performance, managers typically take in applying the quality management principles, because it provides examples of the benefits derived from their use and actions.

It is the basis for implementing a systems approach to organization management. In theory, a performance management system links organizational and employee goals through a goal-setting process, and subsequently links employee goal achievements to a variety of HR management decisions through a performance measurement process. The effectiveness of process management implementation is considered as a major dimension of integrated quality efforts (Anderson et al., 1995).
