The Impact of Social Media for Humans Life
In 21th century no one never heard about social media or also called socmed. Social media is a medium where humans can communicating, interacting with everyone around the world without meet face to face. Initially, this was invented to makes life easier. We cannot deny that but like anything else socmed also give negative impact for us. Day by day features in socmed more evolve not only for communicating but also sharing moment, memories and etc.
Basically humans has a high sense of curiosity. So mostly peoples use sosmed for sharing about their life and stalking others. When stalking others, many peoples triggering to give response. Beacuse in social media anyone can freely commented and give their opinion without sanctions directly. And the negative side is many cyberbullying started from here. Sometimes people don’t think about other feelings. Many people judging others life on social media even they don’t know how the reality. Everyone feel they are the most true even thought right or wrong is relative. And it’s become a disaster for the victim. Usually if you ever bullied it will repeat again and again. Because mindset of the bullies about you is you always wrong. And the impact not only in socmed but in real life the victim will be depressed. It isn’t easy to restore someone mental health.
Now a days socmed become so important because from social media you can get many current information. Therefore, anyone won’t be
Bullying happens because of the bully wanting to assert his or her power, and having control over the victim, stemming from their own insecurities and need for validation. Nevertheless, the impact of bullying can be incredibly harmful for the victims, shattering their confidence is what inevitably ties into falling into depression. The article, “I used to be a bully and this is why I stopped” shows a former bully’s perspective and how they bullied others. “. . .and I definitely wasn’t confident in myself.
One tough thing for people is to be able to express their feelings to other people that could help. So they feel the need to go on any source of social media and post their thoughts on their account. Social Media is also another big source of bullying. Sometimes, people who use social media to express their thoughts take it to the extreme and begin to judge others in the most hateful way. I think they do this because they want everyone else to feel the way they had felt while they were being bullied.
An ethical dilemma happens when two or more ethical principles conflict with one another. Ethical dilemmas are problematic situations in which it is not clear which choice will be the right one. The CP is stuck as to what to do next because there is not just one outcome that will satisfy the ethical principles as stated in the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW) Code of Ethics (Kirst-Ashman & Hull, 2012). According to the SASW (2017), the core values of social work are embedded in the ethical responsibilities, which are relevant to the professional activities of social workers.
Bullies are usually stronger and victims are usually perceived as weaker and unable to protect themselves.” (Masterson,1997) Bullying expands in many aspects of everyday life; from schoolchildren and teenagers, to adults , working environments and even spouses and family members. Considering that the first signs of bullying appear among schoolchildren, we should examine it in its infancy, that is, bullying in early years and school life, which in turn becomes with the passage of years violence and in some cases even crime. As far as bullying at school is concerned, “one definition is that a student is being bullied or victimized, when he or she is exposed, repeatedly and over time , to negative actions on the part of one or more other students.”
I say that it’s human nature, and you can’t fix that. As such, the current attempt at stopping bullying is not, and will not, work. What we need to do, is cut down our efforts. We have a lot of efforts, but that doesn’t mean that they’re good.
The Use of Social Networking Nowadays, we are living under decent technology and it has changed a lot of things: Entertainment, communication, and relationship; economy, education, and habit; medical, political and cultural etc. Social media has allowed us to interact with many more people other than we are used to before. We are living in a world where people would rather use text message with their mobile phone than face-to-face to each other, share greeting with more than hundreds of friends on the social media such as upload how they feel on Facebook, show photo Instagram, and what they are doing with Snapchat.
This is the first century and technology has never been better. It has become so advanced that it has opened up opportunities for jobs, learning, and bullying. It is now easier than ever to bully someone all hours of the day, and to make the bullying follow them wherever they go. Cyberbullying never used to be much of a problem, in fact it didn’t use to exist. But now with all the new technology, and all the freedom online cyber bullying happens everyday.
In the generation of technology and innovation, the creation of social mediaattract a vast number of people world wide. Aside from the basic necessities of living it may also considered as one of the most important belonging of an individual in this day and age. Primarily because of its accessibility to communication, information, education, and entertainment. Social media offers several kinds of Social Networking Sites (SNSs) such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Gmail, YouTube, and among other things, which enable the users to communicate and participate to broader range of issues and events worldwide.
Ancient forms of human communication include cave drawings, smoke signals, symbols, and carrier pigeons. During the late 1800’s, communication became more advanced with the invention of the typewriter and the telephone. Roughly one hundred years later, a military project resulted in what we know today as the internet. With a little innovation, the internet made social interactions between people easier than ever, although, the convenience may come at a cost. Some theories suggest that heavy reliance on social media for human interaction will weaken communication skills, hinder meaningful social interactions, and negatively impact personal relationships.
As indicated by different research studies in the field of online social networks, it has been uncovered that these sites are impacting the societies in both positive and negative ways. So the “Impacts of social media on humanity” is a hot topic for discussion. Different people have different views about the impact of social media. Some people say that social media have played a beneficial role toward the progress of humanity and some people say that a deterrent role has been played by the social media towards the progress of humanity. Social media has more deterrent impact on progress of humanity.
People bully intentionally and unintentionally because they don't know how hurtful their words or behavior will be to others. usually bullies don’t have long term problems. People who don't fit into the normal category according to their gender are often picked on alot. When people don't feel supported by others they devalue themselves and start bullying
The first, anonymity allows cyberbullies to prey on vuinerable peers without taking personal responsibility, just as they bring people together for constructive reasons, social media can connect dissatisfied, disgruntled, dislike, disliking, negative thoughts, and misguided people together, then they get logether and they might make a group because they have one mind, further fueling, negative attitudes and beliefs. Second, Social Media make us forget about the real world, most people prefer to spend time in Social Media, because they feel that Social Media has become a routine that they do everyday. Social Media not only make them busier than the real world, but Social Media succeeds in making them dependent or Social Media, and sometimes they forget to eat and bathe for being too passionate about Social Media, sometimes social media also make us smile by ourselves for seeing the news, or post from people who are in Social
There are several reasons which lead to cyberbullying One of the causes is people who have been bullied in the past want to do the same with others. When these victims have experienced being bullied, they may seek revenge, in other words, they want someone who is weaker than them to suffer their trauma. In addition, this action is a justification for the time when cyberbullying-victims have been tormented and harassed. By cyberbullying others, they may feel better for themselves but that is just a temporary sense of relief.
After gaining haters from attention-seeking or any other bad experiences in cyberspace, a person gets depressed this might probably lead to suicide. According to statistics, suicide is the third leading cause of death among youth. Victims of bullying are more likely to consider suicide. The issue of such small things, like comments or feedbacks, can make a person take his life. People can also get health problems due to the frequent use of social media.
This results into " a dramatic increase in sociability, but a different kind of sociability, facilitated and dynamized by permanent connectivity and social networking on the web."(Castells, 2010) Therefore, the social network sites became the preferred platforms of all kinds of activities, both business and personal. Hence, this gave way to a virtual life, where people can be present every minute. In consequence, it makes them feel connected to each other, as part of a community. Obviously, this is not replacement of the physical world, instead it is a facilitation of real daily living; that influence our behavior immensely.
