INTRODUCTION Science is an amazingly powerful tool for understanding nature. For instance, it has revealed compelling evidence that the universe was born in a fiery explosion 13.7 billion years ago. Science can thus be defined as a body of knowledge and an organized method, or process, for gaining more knowledge about the world in which we live. The process of science is designed to challenge the ideas through research. One important aspect of the scientific process is that it focuses only on the natural world, according to the University of California. Anything that is considered supernatural does not fit into the definition of science. Now since science involves the discovery of new ideas, it often leads to processes and products that help people in developing countries to get practical jobs done. This application of scientific knowledge is referred to as technology. To scientists, questions about nature are the everyday problems they must solve .Their approach to solving these problems is almost always orderly, but it is not always exactly the same. During the sixteenth and seventeenth century, many scientists had developed a new perspective on the world around them. Scientists such as Galileo and Copernicus envisioned a world where natural phenomenons could be proved through experimentation. Furthermore, the work of scientists during this time period were affected by the approval of political figures, the support from influential members of the church, and social factors that influenced the development and acceptance of new theories. To powerful political figures, scientific theories were regarded as an opportunity to gain power and money.
As time went from the 16th century to the 18th century, the Renaissance thinking transformed to the Scientific Revolution. Soon, it would enable a worldview in which people were not invoking the principles of religion as often as the Renaissance. In order to maintain pace with surrounding countries and their development, the Japanese consolidated their approach in order to compete and benefit from other nations. Beginning in 1868 and although there had been an emperor prior to the Meiji restoration period, this era strengthened the political system under the Emperor of Japan. After understanding the concepts of evolution and creationism my vote goes to supporting Evolution. I would support evolution because students will be given accurate information of how different and similarities forms of life, the change in population, and the process of new forms of life came to be. This will bring out the best for our upcoming future because students will use the proper evidence in making more rightful decision that will actually help our society better than before. They would not make any decision that will be based off of religious belief and that is where creationism fall in. A way to encourage scientific enquiry in the classroom is through the use of practical investigations. In the context of thinking and working scientifically, investigations are activities where children can use their conceptual understanding and knowledge of science to find solutions to problems and questions (Skamp, 2012). Supported by Ward et al. (2006) who say that the term investigation is used for activities requiring children to make choices about what to change and measure. In mathematics the knowledge we obtain is justified with reason that have straightforward theories and laws. In natural science on the other hand the information we collect is firstly obtained with observations which can be perceived in the wrong manner and then carried out wrong after that, in the natural world things are always changing therefore the results we get now won’t necessarily be correct one hundred years down the line therefore the knowledge we have now of the natural sciences is correct until proven wrong. Knowledge is trustworthy in most of our subjects at school but we can never know if the information we are receiving is 100% accurate or not because in the future we may learn that the information we have is
