INTRODUCTION
Science is an amazingly powerful tool for understanding nature. For instance, it has revealed compelling evidence that the universe was born in a fiery explosion 13.7 billion years ago. Science can thus be defined as a body of knowledge and an organized method, or process, for gaining more knowledge about the world in which we live. The process of science is designed to challenge the ideas through research. One important aspect of the scientific process is that it focuses only on the natural world, according to the University of California. Anything that is considered supernatural does not fit into the definition of science. Now since science involves the discovery of new ideas, it often leads to processes and products that help people in developing countries to get practical jobs done. This application of scientific knowledge is referred to as technology.
To scientists, questions about nature are the everyday problems they must solve .Their approach to solving these problems is almost always orderly, but it is not always exactly the same. For example, questions about living things may require a different approach than questions about the universe .However, certain basic steps are common to most scientific research. The teaching of modern science in engineering or medical schools cannot be restricted to the same old classical textbooks but has to be done by active scientists who read the current literature and are capable of conveying the latest advances to their students.
