-Archana Kayarat
As the world evolves day-by-day, there are increasingopportunities emerging for new and exciting fields. With so many choices spread out in front of students, they are left perplexed as to which one they should choose as their career path. A lot of times, students are forced into a field or choose a field without complete knowledge of it and are left with a feeling of regret after realizing what they have gotten themselves into. We are here to help you avoid all that trouble and help you decide what your career path should be.

Engineering students could study anything from bio-medical engineering to civil engineering. So if you’d rather build bridges than human body parts, understand that before you sign up.
5. FACTOR IN THE BIG ‘P’- PERSONALITY
Always consider your personality when you are thinking of a certain course. It is not enough to like to do something if your personality does not match it. For example, if you wish to be a travel journalist but are not okay with making adjustments with accommodation, transportation, etc. and are adamant in how and where you travel, it is not the best field for you. Travel journalist must be able to adjust to any type of environment and situation, but if you are the type who likes things done a certain way, it’s time to discover a new field for yourself. Personality and passion go hand in hand.

Keep checking off your skills as you compare it with the skill set of a certain field of work and you will soon discover your new choice of career.
8. DEMAND AND SUPPLY
Once you have shortlisted a few courses, look into which are the ones in demand and will provide you with most income. The analogy is- what’s most in demand provides most supplies. When it comes down to it, to be content with your work and work environment, a good starting salary helps. It makes you feel satisfied with all the work you put in and it is all worth it. A bad pay only leaves you demotivated and that reflects badly in your work.
9. USE YOUR TIME WISELY
While in college, use your free time to explore your options. Do internships, volunteer work, take classes and training in various different courses. These not only pump up your CV, but also help you get a feel of the particular field and thus help you decide on which field you are most comfortable in. Having a CV with a lot of diversity in your work experience makes you stand out as you will have experience in different things and thus will have a broader knowledge of certain things than most other students. This pits you at an advantage and also helps you make your career
INTRODUCTION Some goals I have for this paper is for people to understand that people’s versions of things are not always going to be the what it is supposed to be and that people have opinions. Another goal is that people don’t judge this paper because it is not perfect, humans are not perfect. Lastly, my final goal for this paper is for it to be good enough for me to do more productive things. SURVEY RESULTS The basic survey results made a graph about what I am better at.
As a freshmen in college, I am supposed to know what career I want to pursue in the future. However, I am having troubles choosing one specific career due to the growing amount of careers we have today. At this moment, I am certain that I want a career that All that I know for sure is that I want to pursue a career that positively impacts another individuals life. For instance, being that person that boosted another individuals’ confidence or teaching/informing an individual something they never learned before. At this moment, I have two careers in mind: a Dental Hygienist or an Elementary School Teacher.
My double major in Criminal Justice & Law, Politics, and Society has directed me into a career in law enforcement and perhaps law school in the future. I want to be immersed in the law enforcement field. I want to understand our criminal justice system as a whole. My interests are white collar crime, investigations, and drug crimes. I would like to acquire the skills to become an outstanding law enforcement officer in the future and cultivate those connections that can help me move my career forward.
Focus 2 Assignment – Reflection Upon completing the Focus 2 career assessment program, I am quite impressed at the quality of information it presents. It allowed me to not only look at careers that would fit my personality, but also those that take into consideration the fields I am already interested in. Also, as with any form of self-assessment, there were strengths and weaknesses that I did not expect based on how I feel I live my life currently. Beginning chronologically, the program had me complete two subjective, current measures of my professional career.
I have always wanted to be a surgeon since I was a kid. Doctors were treated like gods in my home country, Ethiopia. I was a shy little boy who dreamt big in my neighborhood and people would make fun of my goal due to the fact that there were no doctors in our neighborhood. They believed that I was not smart and strong enough to be a doctor. Besides my mother and aunt, nobody knew what I was capable of.
With these skills I have gathered there are numerous fields to go into with my skillset. I decided that I want to continue to build my career with
I am deciding to apply to the University of Wisconsin-Madison because I am intrigued by the opportunities the university has to offer. During my time at UW-Madison I hope to participate in intramural sports, get a job, receive an excellent education, and much more. The city life offers a diverse culture and allows you to learn about and to appreciate life. As I want to be a part of the nursing program I would utilize the opportunity to work at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and to work alongside other students trying to achieve the same goal as I am.
In the past, I have taken so many classes to figuer out what I wanted to major in. My background is helping people with their finances. I have been in the banking industry for about 6 years and customer services for about 9 years. I enjoy what I do, but I do not see this as my career. I like the fact that I am helping different types of people every day and
Your personality and interests can help understand your own behavior and why you act a certain way. Knowing what type of environment you excel in and areas where you need to make improvements can help you choose a career path in which you will not only be successful, but happy as well. The TypeFocus assessments are one way to better understand yourself and help you create future career goals. According to the TypeFocus personality assessment, my Myers-Briggs personality type is INTP. The letter I means that I am more introverted and focus more energy on thinking about the inner world.
There are two engineering careers that interest me, biomedical or civil engineering. I know they may seem completely different, but due to the fact I take some classes in the engineering field, and some in the medical field, I still have not decided which way to go. A biomedical engineer creates equipment, devices, computer systems, and software used in healthcare, while a civil engineer designs, builds and supervises construction projects such as bridges, buildings, airports, and many more. A biomedical engineer focuses a lot on bringing knowledge to create, design and evaluate biomedical equipment.
Transition: My first argument for why you should attend college is that: First Main Point: Simply having any sort of college degree will open up more doors for you. A. People with a Bachelors Degree tend to have a much lower unemployment rate, versus someone who has less education. 1.
It is important to study something in school that you enjoy but that is also useful in the real world. I have always been asked, “what's your major?”. I would answer art history and always got a response like, “what are you going to do with that?”. Most parents and students don’t feel that there is a good foundation from learning Art History. It is often heard from high school and college students (influenced by their parents) that to succeed you must major in science, technology, engineering, or business.
