6 MOTIVATION: These are factors which are both Internal and external that excites desire and energy in people to be persistently interested and dedicated to a job, role, course or subject, or to make an attempt to accomplish an objective.
The interaction from of both conscious and unconscious factors such as: intensity of desire or need, incentive or reward value of the goal, and expectations of the individual and of his or her peers is where motivation comes from .These factors account for one behaving a certain way. Motivation becomes strong, when you have a vision, a clear mental image of what you want to achieve, and also a strong desire to manifest it. In such a situation, motivation awakens inner strength and power, and pushes you forward, toward making your vision a reality.

Exploration consists of probing a much larger portion of the search space with the hope of finding other promising solutions that are yet to be refined. Exploration takes place in all non-sessile animal species, including humans. Its dramatic rise was during the age of discovery in human history, when as a result of variety of reasons the European explorers sailed and charted to a great extent with the rest of the world. The European Age of Exploration had a few causes. One of them being the Ottomans who controlled eastern trade routes and were looking to expand. The Age of Exploration was a period from fifteenth century to sixteenth century, during which European explorations thrived. Technological innovations and sailing techniques made expansion easier for the Europeans. The Europeans settled and conquered many lands. The Spanish and the Portuguese started the first wave of exploration. Traveling around the tip of Africa, the Portuguese established trade with countries in the Middle East and broke the Arab and Muslim hold on the market.
Historians often ask the question “Exploration

These motivations are the reason an individual participates in the activity, either for an intrinsic or extrinsic reward. In my swimming career I have noticed that Motivation of an athlete varies based on the individual and can be applied accordingly by the coach when coach/athlete relationship is increased. An example of an intrinsic motivated individual was when I was shown a lane of individuals that weren’t necessarily the strongest swimmers but included a few athletes that are doing a second sport. I was informed that many of them compete for their personal enjoyment. These swimmers strived for personal improvement by some of the swimmers putting personal goals on their kickboard as they kicked.
The Power Of Motivation We do things for many reasons but the most common reason is motivation. Motivation is what prompts a person to act in a certain way, or at least develop an inclination for specific behavior. Motivation is not the part that is important it’s what the motivation is, such as love or fear.
The Age of Exploration occurred from 1400 to 1700 C.E. It is famously known as the Age of Exploration because it was a time when explorers from Europe travelled by sea to explore west of them, and make many geographical advances. Exploration was motivated by gold, glory, and God. Along with their motivation, the Europeans also wanted to find trading partners, new goods, new trade routes, and simply find new land. With exploration, there were many good effects and many bad ones.
Intrinsic motivation refers to performing an activity for it own sake and the joy received from it. Extrinsic motivation refers to performing an activity for some external reward, such as money or food. Between extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, there are five levels of motivation, differing by their level of self-determination. First is amotivation, in which an athlete has no extrinsic or intrinsic reasons for continuing their sport or activity. Next, external regulation refers to an athlete performing an activity to fulfil an external demand or for an external reward, such as a paycheck.
If people can’t do something, for sure they will tell you can’t do it too. And if you want something, go and get it. (Will Smith Movie Quotes That Will Motivate You Through Adversity, n.d.). Motivation can further divided into two subtypes which are intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is the motivation that comes from inner side of one self and urges him in doing something no matter what is the external reward given.
Age of Exploration was a period of time from thousands of years ago, during which European ships were traveled around the world searching for trading routes and partners to help Europe. Lands were used to maintain foods and keep them from spoiling. Lands, however, were expensive and dangerous to get. Traders had to travel from a land route from Europe to Asia to get them. Europeans were desperate to get lands from Asia.
Motivation at workplace There are two dimensions of motivation; internal and external. Internal motivation refers to personal interest in doing something and external motivation refers to be persuaded by someone’s activity. The characteristics of motives are identified as: individualistic, changing, may be unconscious, often inferred, and hierarchical (Reece, 2014). Most important fact to understand motivation is the theories. Many motivational theories have been developed over time to study human behavior at the workplace.

Humans are always interested in exploring unknown, new worlds, boundaries of scientific and technical areas, and further more (Wiles). Our desire to explore and discover new things have provided benefits to our civilizations. For example, Columbus and many explorers in Age of Exploration, a period from the early 15th century to early 17th century (Sheppard), proved Aristotle’s theory that our world is round with his explorations. Also, Columbus found new continent, America. This proves that our interest could be another cause of space exploration.
