Considering a general scenario that prevails globally, there is hardly any car which is driven without entertainment being an inherent part of it. At least there is music if not anything else. Since there is an increasing importance of in-car entertainment, automotive electronics is becoming more and more complex. In order to ensure the smooth functioning of this, electromagnetic interference (EMI)/electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing holds utmost importance. Importance of the testing The requirement of electronics in automotive does not end at the entertainment part only. Automotive electronics is critical for its use in all forms of communication and safety related requirements in vehicles these days. EMI/EMC test equipments play an essential role in ensuring a seamless …show more content…
This has been done in order to provide improved reliability and safety for users of electrical and electronic equipments in their vehicles. In an attempt to ensure compliance with these regulations, most automotive companies these days employ the services of a specialised test facility to perform the actual compliance tests required for EMI certification. The test facility might belong to an outside company (a “test house”) or to an in-house EMC department. A lot of effort is made towards designing the test equipments good enough to minimise as much EMI signatures as possible. Naresh Narasimhan, country marketing manager, Tektronix India says, “Most engineers employ good design practices to minimise the potential for EMI problems. It is common today to perform pre-compliance measurements during the design and prototyping stages to identify and address potential EMI issues before the product is sent out for compliance testing. These techniques reduce the risk that the product will fail the final full compliance at the test
• Then the fault cable is tested to determine the type of fault, 18 KV is applied on each phase for 5 minutes, if the phase can carry this voltage, so this phase is good and no fault on it, if the phase cannot withstand this value of voltage, this means that the insulation is damaged and this phase is faulty, If one or more phase cannot withstand the 18 KV then these phases are faulty and the type of fault is short circuit due to breakdown of the insulation, but if the phases withstand the 18 KV applied but the current from the sending end not reach the other end, this means that there is an open circuit fault which is may be break in the conductor or the joint connecting the
Experiment 7 In this experiment we configured several DC circuits consisting of an emf and a network of resistors. The circuits were composed of a power supply, two DMMs, a circuit board, an SPST switch, and an assortment of known resistors along with one unknown resistor. We measured the current and voltage of the entire circuit as well as the potential drops across each resistor to determine the parameters of the circuit including the resistance, voltage, and current for each component.
Hi Tom, Thanks for the update. Please see my examples in red in the first 2 boxes. We should adjust our risk statements to specifically identify the risk in each requirement or area. Once you 've revised the Reg CC risk statements, please forward them to me. Thank you for your help and for being patient with us.

The Joint Commission develops standards criteria based on feedback and interactions with consumers,
In the poem titled “the great electrical revelotion” by ken Mitchell, I found this story in particular very interesting because, coming from a third world country, such practices are fairly normal. In the sense that when the access to -a life force such electricity is hindered or disconnected by the power authority or in some cases the TV cable is disconnected, individuals still find a solution to this issues my bypassing the normal connection and stealing free electricity or cable from the distribution tower. This passage by ken Mitchell, narrates the life of ken as a young boy leaving with his relatives in Montreal then travelling to moose jaw, this poem centers around the period of time where the Canadian economy was in a depression, and as with every depression there is a
“Why Electric Cars are the Future” Introduction Attention Getter: It was Sunday at park, two college students were discussing about cars. One of them said that imagine about two decades ago, it appeared there was no effective alternative to the gasoline and oil, but now there is a better, cleaner, and more effective substitute to them: electricity. Although electric engines are not so widespread, more and more people consider changing their gasoline-fueled vehicles to electric cars. Then I discovered why electric cars are the future.
Create business flexibility The flexibility to adjust monitoring levels during a study if risks change, giving us the ability to adapt SDV review and frequency of onsite monitoring visits by supplementing oversight with centralised monitoring methods and remote monitoring visits. This activity is constantly changing during the trial and drives the business to flow. Monitors: Increase onsite working efficiency: During the on site visit, monitors can focus on addressing critical issues that cannot be resolved remotely. The centralised remote monitoring also save a lot of travel time and energy for the monitors, monitors can use bill their hours more efficiently to the projects since monitors no longer suffer from travel tiredness between visits.
The TQM had two major weaknesses in the batch-and-queue system: First, the long time between the occurrence of a quality issue and its de-tection which impede the search for the root cause of the quality problem. Second, the inexistence of quality testing in the production line. Due to the missing quality control stations in line, defective parts were queued at the next process step in-stead of being sent to rework (Zone control). Daktronics decided to eliminate the quality problems by the “live testing” strategy. With the help of electronic, visual and standardized work instructions and checklists (in A3 format) including in-spections in line, testing of all parts was implemented to eliminate waste of de-fects (Jidoka and Poka-Yoke).
Soumya Saji Ms. Patiño English 2/16/18 Global warming as became a huge concern for today’s world. The rise of alternative fuel sources is to help this worldwide problem, as a result, electric cars have started to become a familiarity to everyday roads. Electric cars have many benefits and potentially does help with global warming, but it may not be as environmental-friendly as advertised.
1) If Toyota is not the cause of unintended acceleration, why was it blamed for it? Last quarter of 2009 The leading Toyota motor corporation has faced disaster in their products because of unexpected quality issues, so to overcome in their fault they issued huge formal recall of their products all over the world. In this period, Toyota recalls around 5.2 million cars for floor mat problem and 2.3 million cars for accelerator pedal problem. For both case around 1.7 million cars and following this Toyota amplify 1.8 million cars from Europe and 75,000 from China (almost 9 million cars recall all over the world within a month).
An Analysis of Lincoln Electric Company’s Culture through Assessment of its Case Study After thorough investigation of the Lincoln Electric Company’s (LEC) Harvard Case Study, certain understanding and reflections may be made about the company’s culture from a multi-faceted perspectives such as the visual aspects of culture and its maintenance dynamics as observed in the textbook’s Chapter 8. ( Carpenter, Taylor, & Erdogan, 2009) Continuing Influence of Founders at Lincoln Electric It is easily evident from the case study that the diverse aspects of LEC’s operations --- from investors, employees, and customers to how the senior management conducts and approaches its business --- all reflect the philosophy, vision, and ideals of its founders:
I feel concerned that anthropogenic activities have damaged the atmosphere which has led to severe detrimental effects over time. Studying Chemistry enabled me to learn the science behind global warming and the consequences for it. This made me think, what current technology could be further utilised to reduce greenhouse gas emission to the atmosphere? Due to this, I want to talk about electric vehicles as I feel that electric cars are the future of humankind. I will persuade you to leave behind the poisonous, toxic, filthy fumes of your present vehicle and switch to an electric car.
There's a lot of buzz going on about electric cars and it seems like every hipster and eco nut trying to save the environment but do you truly know what it takes to get them on the road. The process to make the batteries is a truly dirty process and it pollutes the air. Most electric cars that are available to the general public are very expensive and most of them do not have a very far range. Somewhere between a 20-270 mile range. Also you need to live somewhere there are the charging stations or have one put in at your home.
This certification ensures so much every technical or dole techniques pair the very best worldwide standards.
