Introduction
Importance of education as one of the most powerful means for bringing about socio-economic equity among people cannot be overemphasised. In the recent years there is an emerging trend in favour of English language learning. Today in India, English is not seen just as a language but as a path for upward social mobility and economic betterment. It is perceived as a powerful agent for social change. People both in urban and rural areas perceive it as a language of power and opportunities. Despite the agitations by advocates of education in mother- tongue, English language education is gaining in prominence with each passing day in today’s globalised context. It is one of the “most powerful means of inclusion into or exclusion from further education, employment, or social positions” (Pennycook 2001).
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), India has also documented the demand and importance of English language in the position paper in connection with the National Curriculum Framework (2005) where states that, “English in India today is a symbol of people’s aspiration for quality in education and fuller participation in national and international life.... The level of introduction of English has now become a matter of political response to people’s aspirations, rendering almost irrelevant an academic debate on the merits of a very early introduction.” In its report, the National Knowledge Commission (NKC) (2009) has stated that “the

Literature provides a number of definitions for intellectual capital; for example, IC is “a stock of focused, organized information that the organization can use for some productive purpose” (Edvinsson & Sullivan 1996, p. 357). Intellectual capital “focuses on organizing the knowledge resources in order to make knowledge manageable and is about actions and activities linked with knowledge, which are not easy to represent” (Mouritsen et al. 2001a: EmidiaVagnoni Chiara Oppi , 2015, p. 335).According
Foreign languages are offered in many high schools nationwide in the United States. However, learning a language so late in one’s life does have its downsides. Knowledge management (KM) allows CoPs to enable knowledge sharing to take place. Thus, this helps CoPs collect and connect many aspects of knowledge sharing. The collection and connection of knowledge sharing is only possible through CoP members who are interested, enthusiastic, and committed to the issues which the community is formed (Denning, n.d.). For example, NTEN is comprised of members who are interested and committed to helping nonprofits use all aspects of technology more effectively and efficiently through their CoP. For proper KM, a CoP must facilitate activities that assists each member in recognizing a common need among their CoP, and how each member brings valuable experience and expertise. Such facilitation within the CoP leads to members contributing and developing collective knowledge that deepens each members’ skill and expertise.

Education is an outlet to create better opportunities but most importantly to build on knowledge, career and any sort of higher platform. Education is valued in my household and in my family’s native country, Haiti. Growing up I was forced to read and write every night before going to bed. This was a constant exercise I held on until I started high school. If it were anyone who drilled me into reading and writing it would be my grandfather.
