In the novel, “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” the main character Huck Finn learns how to make better decisions. He realizes how his decisions will affect other people, specifically, his best friend Jim. Huck begins the novel with no direction or guidance, living with his drunk and abusive father. Miss Watson and the Widow Douglas struggle to try to teach Huck how to have good judgement and how to be a good person. Huck is also guided and taught by the runaway slave, and Huck’s best friend, Jim.
The book, Ghost, by Jason Reynolds is a story about a boy named Castle, but is called Ghost. Castle has a very rough life because his father is imprisoned and his mother struggles with finances. Castle is a misbehaved kid who struggles in school and makes a track team which motivates him to be good in school. Track played ended up playing a huge role in his life and went through the ups and downs with him. Track taught him respect and discipline which spread throughout his home.
I chose the movie “Natural Selection,” which is a Netflix original about a male social outcast who is trying to fit in with a new crowd, but then gets involved in a dangerous situation with almost no way out. This movie takes place at Blue Rock High School with three main characters. The three main characters are Tyler Evans--the social outcast, Paige Thomas, and Indrid Wardin. The movie begins with Tyler and his mother driving to their new home and unpacking boxes upon their arrival. Tyler is a shy, high school senior who has just transferred to a new school while desperately seeking direction from a world that seems to have abandoned him.
This is still the climax in the movie. Specifically, This climax adds meaning to the story. This setting adds meaning to the story because it creates suspension on who the man might be. The three children have been on the planet searching for their father for a long time, and it is possible the man might be their father. The man was trapped inside of the transparent column, which could be their father because he stopped writing letters to the family.
In the novel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, the protagonist, learns basic manners and expectations of society and religion. However, his drunkard father, who is rarely ever home, returns home only to abuse Huck. This led to Huck faking his death and running away from his dad and thus running away from society. During this journey, Huck is skeptical with many taught norms of society and decides to believe in superstitions. Lawrence Kohlberg developed a theory about the three stages of moral development, pre-conventional, conventional and post-conventional morality.
There he finds love but has roadblocks in his way that he must overcome. Finally, he returns to Afghanistan to find his half-nephew. After fighting all that Kabul has to throw at him, he returns home with his son who eventually assimilates and runs kites with him as he did as a child. Much like the coming of age story, the overcoming the monster story is another version of a victorious tale. Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, by Stephen King, pits Andy Dufresne against the justice system and prison life as he lives behind bars after being wrongly convicted.
The Dodger buys Oliver lunch and offers to introduce him to a gentleman in London who will give him a place to stay. The old "gentleman" turns out to be Fagin who trains kids to be pickpockets. Oliver sees the pair steal the pocket handkerchief out of a nice-looking old man 's pocket. Mr. Brownlow sees Oliver running. So, he yells after him.
The English language is rich in words and knowledge and is absolutely important in our everyday lives. USA and Great Britain is a very popular travel-destination today. Therefore; because people like the culture and environment there, more people learn English to be able to communicate with others when they go there. I use English whenever I check social media, read books and basically whenever I use any technology. In the future I would like to travel to as many places as I can, and English will be very important when I want to communicate with the people I meet.
It will also open up more opportunities for you. If you are to enter an international workforce, communication is most often conducted in English. But what is the English literacy rate here in the Philippines? Are Filipino students getting a quality English education? The Philippines is always referred to as an English-Speaking country.
