Human language is such a brilliant obvious way that one may naturally be used to explore the available possibilities of mastering it for varied needs. When we deal with the issues of learning and teaching, us being, teachers should clearly realize as to how this complicated process happens both on the part of learning and teaching.
Is it important and essential for a Teacher to understand the Principles of Foreign Language Learning and Teaching?

Such as motivation, it is the key factor which affects one’s success in learning a language. This means the thoughts and feelings we have which make us want to do something, or continue to want to do something, or continue to want to do and turn our wishes into actions. This mental drive our esteem to why we decide to work in this marital, how long it will take to work on it and how long the preparation will take to fulfill it. And the more the materials are selected wisely to be likewise accurate and well graded to the students certainly the marital become attracted to the related subject. By that, we find that many factors influence our motivation to learn a language. Now we shall look at some of them.

Factors that affect motivation:
1.The advantage to us of knowing the language well. Examples, finding a job, following course or getting along in a relationship.
2. Our interest in culture of the targeted language.
3. Feeling good about knowing the language.

Interest is the ruling of these criteria and considered as the top of these it as well. Materials need to be attractive and inviting to approach the students. This is available through the usage of colors, photos, videos, fonts, charts, games…etc. Information also has to be well presented and very clear. While selecting materials, teachers have to put length into account so it won’t be boring for the students and became useless and waste of time. Usage of lengthy texts is least engaging to students, especially at early stages that’s happen if they are asked to read a long article for early stage student would find it very difficult and such a turn off towards the language he/she is learning. Activities addressed in the material need to take students beyond content and expose them to real world situations and that is showed in different ways to approach different stages for instance if a teacher want to address how to ask for directions; the teacher for the younger ones will use colorful arrows to show left and right, the teacher could also use the colors of the traffic lights, but this way won’t be used with
