Being a part of a fraternity isn’t like the movies where they only drink and party with sorority girls. People who are a part of a Greek organization know that the relationship they form with each other isn’t just friends during college; it 's for life. Fraternities such as Phi Delta Theta help out the community and give individuals leadership experience. My brothers share a common interest of trying to better ourselves everyday and seek to expand our knowledge in and out of school. The bond we share is strengthened through understanding each other’s struggles and deepened through experiences of being there for each other. Currently I am taking several science classes to help me further my dream of becoming an anesthesiologist assistant. I can say first hand that the science classes here are definitely not a walk in the park. Luckily, two fraternity brothers who have the same major as me are in the same classes. This allows us to better prepare each other for class and helps make things significantly easier. Whenever people are having trouble with their classes there 's always someone who can extend a helping hand. For instance, last semester I had an important biology test that I was stressing over, so I expressed my pre-test anxieties to one of the older guys, James. Instead of simply giving me assurances that I would figure it out he took time out of his night to help me prepare. As corny as it sounds the next day I went into class and confidently completed the test.
