This leadership model has been used in many organizations and training programs to inform future and present leadership ways in improve quality and characteristics to become more effective and proficient within their leadership roles. These practices are described as the following: Most people want to follow someone who is honest and authentic. By possessing these qualities, you are modeling the way for your subordinates. Leaders can become role models by keeping their words and speaking truthfulness.
Intelligent relationships with other individuals is an essential criteria of any civilized society, so it’s important to understand what the accepted definition of friendship is, and what are its supporting virtues. Friendship-is a personal relationship based on the concern about the happiness of the other person, for his sake, and it involves some kind of intimacy 1. By saying virtue I consider a positive quality which was meant to be good and laid as a foundation of a moral principle. There are a number of virtues that friendship lay its foundation on; honesty, happiness, trust, love, dedication, and etc. Without any of these qualities within your relationship with someone else you’ll never be able to achieve genuine friendship.
In other words, integrity is not situation-defined or situation-specific; therefore, the main character strength that makes success. Beyond doing the right thing, a leader with integrity is also not afraid of telling or speaking the truth in all circumstances. This is known as the reality principle, which is the ability to “see the world as it really is, not as one wish it to be.” Integrity means telling the truth even if the truth is ugly. A person of integrity is always inclined to be honest and never to delude others, because when you delude others, you are probably deluding yourself
The values that a culture upholds are a strong indicator of that cultures strengthens and weaknesses. The same can be said of a person, the values held highest often speak to the character of the individual. Please understand, holding something sacred and living for an ideal is not the same as being perfect. I strive to uphold these values, sadly I must admit we are rarely at our best.. The first, and highest virtue is Love.
Integrity: Focusing on your integrity will greatly improve your confidence in relationships as well as help you build much stronger bonds. Integrity comes from having a firm sense of who you are, what you believe and what you stand for regardless of any familial or societal expectations which may have been placed upon you. • See yourself as an individual. It’s best if you learn to be on your own and feel self-reliant before establishing a relationship with another person. • Believe in your own value try to change your physical appearance, learn a new activity or take up a new sport, putting effort to boost your energy will help you to build confidence in a relationship.
Be it dedication and sacrifices for one’s job or ones moral and ethical views and principles. These are examples of some traits a person can earn respect from normally. I say “Normally” because in all facets of life respect is almost always something to be earned and given on a personal level. My personal view is that showing respect is more a statement about us than those to whom we show it. Others may or may not merit our respect but giving others their dignity protects our integrity and honor.
Discipline is the desire to do what is right. Furthermore, discipline gives the confidence to act correctly and properly. According to Kouzes & Posner (1993), the executive models personal traits such as integrity, honesty and trustworthiness, traits that long have been known to characterize effective leaders. More important than personal traits, eliminate, are visible behaviors. These include doing the right thing, showing concern for people and treating them with dignity and respect, being open, listening, and living a personally
The examples of two best friends teach us in the best way. Honesty develops trust in the other person. Trust leads to a good and long lasting relationship. The example of Dhirubhai Ambani, the great businessman, also explains us that true people always succeed in life. It is important to speak truth and achieve permanent happiness, rather than to speak lies and achieve partial happiness.
Think one value is to understand the human worth of every individual. No matter what a person 's circumstances, they are entitled to the equal protection of the law. They are entitled to participate in the development of this society. I think that as long as there is a single person who is denied that opportunity, then there is a reason for us to be blamed. I think honesty is important, and I think self-confidence is important.
"Righteousness is the best of all qualities in the world. Truth is established in righteousness. Even these best words of father are enjoined with righteousness. One who follows righteousness, does not waste his promise given to one 's father or mother or Brahmana. Hence, leave this mean mentality of military heroism.
