FPGA IMPLEMENTATION OF RDCT
Abstract: Due to the increasing requirements for transmission of images in computer, mobile environments, the research in the field of image compression has increased significantly. Image compression plays a crucial role in digital image processing, it is also very important for efficient transmission and storage of images. When we compute the number of bits per image resulting from typical sampling rates and quantization methods, we find that image compression is needed. As a rule, a video signal has high temporal redundancies due to the high correlation between successive frames. This redundancy has not been deflated enough by current video compression techniques. This paper presents the performance of different block based discrete cosine transform (DCT) algorithms for compressing image. This compressing converts the spatial and temporal correlation of the video signal into a high spatial correlation. Indeed, this technique transforms each group of pictures into one picture eventually with high spatial correlation. RDCT exploits the transformed images with less execution time and adders.

Image compressions have many applications and play an important role in efficient transmission and storage of images. The image compression aims at reducing redundancy in image data to store or transmit only a minimal number of samples. Discrete Cosine Transforms relating to the spectral analysis and spectral decomposition of image and speech signals are widely utilized in numerous applications. To reduce computational complexity, fast and simple implementation of the DCT and inverse DCT has become increasingly important. For high end electronics, for example, the high definition television encoder, fast algorithms that use a parallel structure may be required. For low cost consumer products, a simple kernel that completes the computation may be
Some of the MS SQL Datatypes Affected By Compression Some of the datatype that don’t yield any row level compression benefit are tinyint, smalldatetime, date, time, varchar, text, nvarchar, xml. MS SQL Server Page Compression can be applied to tables, table partitions, indexes and index partitions. This compression technique can be viewed as an enhanced version of Dictionary Encoding discussed in [4]. The following two figures illustrate the effects of page compression on an uncompressed
double atan2 (doubly y, double x) It will return the arc tangent in terms of radians of y/x based on the signs of both values to determine the correct quadrant. double cos (double x) It will return the cosine of a radian angle x. double cosh (double x) It will return the hyperbolic cosine of
3.4 Functional Requirements • The system should process the input given by the user only if it is an image file (JPG, PNG etc.) • System shall show the error message to the user when the input given is not in the required format. • System should detect characters present in the image. • System should retrieve characters present in the image and display them to the user.
This algorithm consist of series of substitutions and permutation on each block of 64 bit message, which is then EX-OR with input. This process is repeated 16 times. Due to 16 rounds of DES algorithm it is more secure . Very high throughput is achieved using this
04.05b Analyzing the Sine and Cosine Functions Choice #1 f(θ) = cos(θ) • Amplitude: The amplitude of this cosine function is 1 since there is no number in front of cos to represent |a|. The designated amplitude is therefore 1 meaning the maximum = 1 and the minimum = -1. The cos curve will be in between these two points.
Of my many volunteer and paid extra-curricular activities, the most important to me is the National Art Honor Society, which extends artistic activities to my community. We organize two school events: the Festival of Trees and the Talent Competition. The Festival of Trees is an event when every school club can choose to donate and decorate a tree that we set up. All of the money raised goes to an organization of our choice. For the last 4 years, we have donated to Street Grace, which benefits the fight against human trafficking, especially in the Metro Atlanta area.
Describe different types of business documents that may be produced and the format to be followed for each. There are many different types of business documents that are used daily in business environments, for example; Emails- The fastest way to send documents and information and follow the format of recipient and subject. Spreadsheets- These are used to store information electronically.
Another alternative to decrease police misconduct is through the use of body cameras which would hold officers accountable for their actions. Often, commanding officers exercise little supervision over the daily activities of their officers. Not only do officers patrol alone, but they are authorized to quickly create solutions and sanctions on the spot. This provides officers the freedom to get away with both minor and major violations to outright crimes. A tactic to prevent this from occurring is to mount body cameras on officers while on duty.
Everyday we encounter new and familiar faces. We are able to distinguish our mother’s face from a stranger’s face due to the facial recognition processes that we have stored in our brains. Facial recognition is one of the many processes of object-recognition. Many of us are not aware of the brain’s role in facial recognition because it is a process that we are not consciously doing. Face recognition differs from object recognition in a few ways.
The largest contributor to the problems plaguing the Eastman Kodak Company is its failure to predict, innovate, and establish market share in the imaging industry’s change to the digital sector. The success experienced by Kodak in the last 100 years was a direct result of their ability to adopt disruptive technology with regards to film sales and development to stay one step ahead of its competitors. Their refusal to do the same at the start of the digital age slashed any chance of major success down the road for the company. Table A1. SWOT Analysis.
Abstract— Face recognition is one of the most important biometric and face image is a biometrics physical feature use to identify people. Major and Minor segments of face space are eyes, nose and mouth. In biometrics quality face is the most imperative characteristic method for recognize individuals. High intra-class variety inside face pictures of the same individual is the significant issue in face distinguishment. Posture, statement and enlightenment are in charge of high intra-class variety.
Two parallel connected DT systems with impulse responses h1(n) and h2(n) can be replaced by a single equivalent DT system with impulse response, a) h1(n)*h2(n) b) h1(n)+h2(n) c) h1(n)-h2(n) d) h1(n)/h2(n) 11. Sectioned convolution is performed if one of the sequence is very much larger than the othernn in order to overcome, a) Long delay in getting output b) Larger memory space requirement c) Both a and b d) None of the above 12. Has people's use of Photoshop gone too far? Is altering photos to make people unrealistically skinny a good idea? For years, many photos in magazines, advertisements, etc. have been altered, making models and celebrities blemish free and thin. But in some cases of retouched photos the outcome can be horrific, making the person very unprofessional and disturbing. But making models thinner than they actually are can have bad effects on the public.
And this is a great example of competitive advantage created through advanced technology that makes the production process extremely cost-effective in response to customer needs. At
In second language learning, using visual aids is a necessity teaching strategy in both English as Second Language (ESL) classroom and English as Foreign Language (EFL) classroom (Allen, Kate & Marquez, 2011). They believed that using visual aids in the process of teaching a foreign language can strengthen what learners have learned and increase their interest. In their article, they proposed the positive impact of using visuals and they concluded that teachers should become aware of the strategies in which they can use visual aids and use them purposefully in the classroom to enhance students’ learning. Visual aids can be defined as using objects, drawings, charts, photographs, videos, multimedia presentation, etc.
