The main question which strikes everyone’s mind is that what the real definition of culture is. Some people define it as the shared patterns of behaviors and cognitive constructs, and affective understanding that are learned through a process of socialization. All the enterprises operating globally need not have the same degree of cultural awareness. It is very important for a company to understand global cultures at different levels of involvement. Unless and until a company understands the global cultures at different levels, the process is incomplete. The further any company comes out from the sole function of doing domestic business, the more it should understand cultural differences. Moving out on more than one axis simultaneously creates the need for creating cultural awareness even more necessary. Can culture be maintained? Justify. Culture is very wise in its approach to act on cultural variations and analyses the situation to its very core when it has gone through many phases and is pretty mature unlike the early stages when its foundation and base is fragile and it tends to commit mistakes in its actions. Similarly, when a company matures its inherent cultural values become strengthened and more and more refined. Generally, a company’s future values are dependent upon its early values. Organizational culture can be compared with an organism which tries to protect itself from the external force.
