Through my experience as a Government and Art double major at Hamilton College, I have become cognizant of the immense power of communication. In the realm of politics, effective communication is required for politicians to emphasize with constituents, while in art, effective communication allows the audience to experience an artist’s emotions in a more intimate context. This realization has had a tremendous impact on the career which I aspire to pursue, and drastically shaped the experiences and activities that I have partaken at Hamilton College. While there are various communication related jobs and internships available, I am highly interested in interning at the National Museum of American History as a Public Affairs/Office of Communications & Marketing Intern. I am a strong advocate of the Smithsonian Institution’s goals of increasing and diffusing knowledge, where interns are encouraged to learn and grow through their internship experience. I have spoken to a couple individuals who interned at various Smithsonian museums, and they all had an incredible …show more content…
Through Instagram, may clients contact me and commission me to create various works of art, such as logos for clothing companies, artwork for interior design, and fashion illustrations. I have created artwork for people from all over the country, and some of my work is displayed in clothing stores as murals or framed prints. This experience has taught me the power of social media in connecting individuals from various parts of the world, and made me more passionate about social media as a whole. Through managing my own business, I have learned the value of fostering a good relationship with clients, and understanding how to communicate professionally and effectively with them. Balancing school, work, extracurriculars, and this business all at once has also improved my time managing skills
In “Thank You For Arguing”, Jay Heinrichs teaches the reader how simple it can be to get things your own way through persuasion. The National Honors Society is an organization consisting of outstanding students across the nation, and I am truly honored to be considered to join. Not only does this organization push students to succeed academically, but it also allows them to build character by taking part in their communities through leadership roles and service. With this, I would take advantage of all the opportunities the society presented me to build my own character even further. In my years of high school, I have shown that I am qualified to join the society based on my performance in academics, character, leadership and service. Throughout my years, I have been able to maintain a GPA at a 4.0, while also balancing my time with sports, clubs and a job.

Thinking narrowly, participating as an SIP intern gives me a chance to spend my summer well.

I believe through exploring varying cultures and exchanges, I will be an asset to stores, magazines, or film productions. As excited as I am to see the beauty, learn about the history and study the design, I am really eager to learn how to run a successful business.
We must acknowledge that there will be times where we lose our position, only to realize where we stand. Growing up life seemed hard, but now I realized how amazing it was; I had a family who loved me and I was never seen different (discriminated), I was always told I had four very impart jobs: have respect for people even if I didn’t like them, do good in school, always ask questions and never forget where I came from, little did I know I realized where I came from after I left. When I came to the United States of America, New York became a dream, but we must all wake up and stop dreaming; I did after my mother past away a year after I’ve arrived.
