Knowledge management (KM) IN ORGANIZATIONS Is defined as the process of capturing, distributing, and effectively using organizational knowledge. It emerged as a concept in 1990. Organizations adopt KM so that objectives set by the organization can be achieved using best use of knowledge .Most of the organizations implements KM inorder to improve performance,achieve goals,share ideas,maintain relation with customers and also to increase innovation.Knowledge Management basically consists of plans,methods and approaches which helps in creation of knowledge.Knowledge Management thus creates a strong relation between the objectives and strategies of the firm as it consists of making efficient use of knowledge which thereby creates value for the…show more content…
Assess Current StateThe organization should assess its current position which will give an outlook about the organization and what are objectives it has to achieve in future.The strategy has to be presented as a roadmap showing the milestones that has to be achieved.
6 Build a Knowledge Management Implementation Roadmap.Creating a strategy on how to face the shortcomings will help in getting superiors support as well as the findings
7. ImplementationNext step is to successfully implement KnowledgeManagement.As long as it yields and benefit in the long run ,there will not be resistance from people for its implementation
8 Measure and Improve the Knowledge Management Program.Inorder to determine if KM is benefitting the firm,new results can be compared to the old results and determine if performance has increased or not.
