Everyone in life has a variety of goals, big or small, and a different perspective on how they view what goals actually are. For me, goals are a desired result to which I will work tirelessly to achieve, no matter what obstacles may come in my way. A few of my current goals include the basics like getting a 4.0 grade point average this semester, eating healthier and going to the gym more often, making more memories with friends, and becoming more involved in extracurricular activities. However, the goal I am most concerned with now is strengthening my faith, and connecting myself more in church. All of my life I have been raised going to church, but it seems only recently I have really connected with God on a deeper level than ever before. …show more content…
If I follow my step by step targets I will be able to achieve the overall goal. My overall goal is not hard to achieve, however college life takes up a lot of my time already. If I am not studying or doing homework, then I am occupied in my extracurricular activities. However, I am willing to do anything and everything to reach my goal even if it includes sacrificing some sleep. That is why these baby steps will make it be an easier transition for me, rather than jumping all in head first. This way I can truly enjoy what is a stake for me, because I am really excited to start this journey. Going to Life Church every Sunday has already been life changing for me, so I am beyond ecstatic to see what may lie ahead for me. I know I will meet a lot of incredible people who are going to embrace my goal and want to help me out as much as they can. There is a great possibility that I as well may be able to assist someone else who has a similar goal as mine. In the end, I know I will come out of this goal journey as a bigger and better person than I was before. I will strive to be the best that I can possibly be and hopefully this will encourage others to do the same! I want to share with everyone that I possibly can this incredible experience that is Life
My goals here a Colorado Christian University are pretty straightforward. Learn the skills I need, and excel at those skills so I can use them in a strong profession. Use these skills to grow and develop as well as provide for my family and be a positive role model to my daughter and other people out there that think they are just
One example of a goal of mine is to sustain an open mind for it is those with an open mind of acceptance and inspiration that are, in my experience, the happiest. Another that relates to this is to be grateful. One may not like the colour of their eyes, but they should be grateful that they have eyes for without them they would not be as whole as they are with them. In addition to acceptance of everything I also want to be ever inspired by everything that encompasses the universe. Furthermore, I strive to never stop asking
My semester here at USC has been a smooth transition however I have overcame challenges. Being an only child I 've become comfortable with doing things on my own and not being open to working with others. Not realizing this would hinder my way of learning I was not always one to study in groups but deciding to try it out this semester proved to produce tremendous outcomes! Through my first semester here at USC I found that I benefit more from studying in groups and that I retain the information a lot better than if I were to study alone. This semester, I 've also had to come to terms with the reality of the college work load.
so I’m going to take action to reach my goals of my educations and future job goals. With Morisano’s and Shore’s article on Goal Setting it has taught me a lot about making goals and ways to reach goals. It goes into how to successfully set a goal. In the article there is a quote “We should see potential not as potential for being good at the handful of skills and acquisitions that can be developed at or gotten from school, but as the potential for realizing the possibilities of the spirit, the potential, more specifically, for selecting from and integrating school learning and other learning into a meaningful, worthy, passionate, and satisfying life path” (Grant, 1995) (Goal
Being a first generation college student was a big challenge for me. A new life ahead of me had just started, it was like a new book with a new page on it. I started off going to community college which was such a big impact in my life, I was able to learn many valuable things that at the beginning I wasn't prepared for. I want to make a bigger impact not only for my self but for others as well. I want to motivate people that no matter what gets in the way, or the circumstances we are facing, we can all fight for what we want.
Transitioning to college from high school was tough especially being a student-athlete. As an football athlete in college half of my time was spent playing or preparing for football, the other half of my time is spent for academics. Student athletes are naturally at a disadvantage when it comes to academics as opposed to a regular full-time student due to the limited amount of time. I admit my time management skills at Rutgers was not the best which reflects why my grades were on the low in. As time went on my GPA started to improve because my time management skills matured.
My goal in life is to help others, save lives, and help rid of the evil. When I am done working and I have retired, my goal is to be help the community, be a football coach or work Children Safety Programs. My goals for after I graduate, are to help the future and the different lives in the world. My goals are to protect and save others, to serve and do something with my life. When I am done with college education, I want to help improve my community by using the skills I learned.
Living in hope, with our beliefs, and with little expectation of others is the way forward. My parents, simple and honest human beings, have high expectations of me, wishing that I too, like them, grew up to be an honorable person. Martin Luther King’s life inspires the determined and I agree that to give up on life or stop is deplorable. Irrespective of the hurdles, to push ahead with all one’s might is the only way to succeed. Living this philosophy, my father, a genuine rags to riches story, altered my life, leading by example and encouraging me to follow the path of righteousness.
There should be a specific plan to follow once assessing all situations, barriers and consider taking any alternatives to complete my action plan and achieving my six goals. The remaining time I have to complete my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Kaplan University, I plan to complete all of my assignments and discussions ahead of time prior to the due date, for which will give me the opportunity to keep my grades up and achieve my goal of maintaining a 3.5 or higher grade point average. I understand the issue of always being busy, especially when having kids and a family, but with the support of my lovely mentor and boyfriend, I feel that I can make time to complete whatever it is that I need and not let any barriers get in the way. Therefore, I intend to plan accordingly with our schedules, making room and time for me to study and complete my goal of sitting for the certified nursing exam to obtain my certification.
lastly, my goal is to praise myself, give myself the recognition and support that I give everyone
I am a firm believer in achieving my goals because I know that they will reflect on my future. At times, I may fail but I do not let that stop me from trying. Instead, I let it teach me a lesson and push myself even harder to do better the next
• My long-term goal is to become a child and youth residential carer. It involves providing support and advice to young people experiencing difficulties, such as family problems, unemployment, illness, drug abuse and homelessness, arranging and providing counselling, food, shelter or clothing, arranging the referral of clients to appropriate specialists, providing information about community services available for young people and conducting programs for young people in areas such as employment, education, self-development, accommodation, welfare and counselling. "Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible", (Tony Robbins). This indicates striving to be successful even if it means failure. I plan on achieving my main goal so I can have a bright future in my career path. In order to achieve my life goal, I have already begun to work towards my goal and I plan to continue with an organized plan. Both short-term and long-term goals will help me set a better understanding of a successful future.
Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to be successful in life. I have always wanted to be the better version of my parents and achieve many things in life. During my freshman year in High school, I knew I was going to major in business. I come from a household of five, my father, mother, two younger sisters, and myself. I am the first in my family to go to college and with that being said, I have always felt the pressure to be the best role model and example for my younger sisters.
The ideas that I come up with, will be able to help people. I would improve things in life that people thought would never be able to be fixed. I would be proud if I was able to make the life of other people
