In my twenties I accomplished numerous things; I was married, moved away from my home permanently (or so I thought) and was pursuing the career I had always dreamed of. I gained recognition professionally, traveled to many places I had longed to visit and had a lovely home in Southern California.
Five years into my first marriage, we called it quits and just a short time later I found myself engaged to someone else, we married a year into dating.
As I approached my thirties, I found I was no longer in love with the career I thought I always wanted and It felt like the few choices I did make for me, were not heavily appreciated or accepted by my partner. I chose to go back to school and pursue Marine Science and took a position in Marine

We’ll help you!”. They donated goods, time, the venue, everything! It was CRAZY!
Everything was happening just like in my dream; I decided to re-locate back to Miami in August of 2015, my new love in tow! And work continued on the fashion show, I also became involved in other projects, such as helping Surfrider a nonprofit I had been involved with in California and for a few years in Miami before I left to Vermont. Shortly after my return I was asked to become a Board Member - one of my lifelong dreams!
Finally, the day of the Fashion Show arrived and within an hour we were completely SOLD OUT! Raising well over our expectations and gaining interest for another show and other events.
From this began an overnight business, as people wanted to hire me for my newfound Digital Marketing and Social Media experience.
I turned thirty-one on August 23rd, and upon reflection on my birthday I realized how much more I knew now (cliché, I know) and despite what many would consider some epic failures (two divorces and a 15-year long career I left behind), I learned that without those marriages I would have never been able to appreciate the man I am now with, who was willing to leave all he knew behind and relocate to Miami with me because he believed in me and my dream, who wanted to see me grow professionally and personally and without my previous career I would have never learned what I now know which has helped me immensely as a Social Media
It made me feel great to know that I was volunteering for an organization that not only promotes fitness and fun but donates 100% of what they make to cancer research.
We just did a clothing distribution in the "regions beyond. " This is where so many of you, our partners and donors, shine. It was wonderful to see the looks on the faces of children and adults light up when we brought them new clothes, blankets, and toys. All the donated clothing, blankets, and toys were made by hand by many of our donors. You all are making a big difference in the lives of so many Haitians.
In this council, we experienced the beauty of anthropology. We gave 20,000 to organizations that help women and girls in Colorado to be successful, smart and bold. I 'm an active volunteer as well, I volunteer at the Food Bank of the Rockies
She explained that she was on her way to the bank to get a loan for her son 's communication device when she got a call from the HIKE foundation. It was extremely rewarding to be able to help someone in that way. Besides my love of community service, I have gained so much confidence in myself from my friends that I have met through Job 's Daughters. Ther are many opportunities to compete in public speaking, talent and pageant competitions. The first big competition I entered was the Junior Miss Oklahoma pageant when I was fifteen.
We planned events, raised money for charities, completed innumerable community service hours, and built a respect for our organization in the
I have had the unforgettable opportunity to personally raise $1,400 for kids to go to summer camp, whose families could not afford it otherwise. I have worked at food drives, homeless shelters, and kid’s programs in my town, in hopes to make someone’s day a little bit better and ultimately make my community stronger. These experiences shaped who I am today. While I cherish the experience I had making a difference in my own town, I am ready to grow and leave a positive impact somewhere else in the country.
In 2016, I went to the National Fall Leadership Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I also have participated in the Splash Against Cancer event to raise money for the American Cancer Society. All of these experiences have taught me that it is important to help
This event was at the beginning of the year and was a fantastic way for me to become involved in a new activity which I will continue to attend and try to help out with for years to come. Volunteering my time to be able to make a day special for others was truly a memorable experience that I will carry with
My favorite act of service that I have ever done was through the school’s project based learning. I had heard that the NWC Men’s Basketball Team was building a house a Haitian family who’s house had collapsed with all their belongings. I then contacted the men’s basketball coach asking if my group and I could raise money to buy items for their house. We organized a traditional bake sale, as well as an online bake sale, to raise money for the family. In the midst of baking 40 dozen cookies and 38 dozen cupcakes, I was coordinating with a missionary in Haiti, Krisie Mompremier, who knew what the family needed most.
Everybody knows that there are four seasons, and everyone has their favorite one out of all of them. Mine is when the woods turns into a coloring book of orange and red, when I put a nice warm batch of hot co-co on the stove, and were all of my family comes together every year. My favorite season is fall. My favorite hobby is hunting.
Instead of hating bugs or spiders, I hated the outside as a child. Preferring to stay indoors, I spent my hours reading and drawing, dreading the moments my parents dragged me to a field to force sports down my throat. Basketball, soccer, volleyball; I tried all and loathed indiscriminately. Unfortunately, my father loved the outdoors, saving money for exotic vacations such as driving to the tip of Mexico instead of buying the latest iphone. Forced to go along with the rest of the family, I despised every minute of it.
In this nonprofit organization, I volunteer at different events around the Greater Kansas City area. I gained more than 15 hours of service work. I helped organize school dances, pep rallies, and took part in Global Youth Service Day. I attend seminars during the school year to learn more about business etiquette and career development. I support the basketball and football teams by attending their games and selling school products to fundraise.
About me: I am a go-getter. I push myself to the limit in everything I do, be it sports, academics, or life in general. Every year of high school I have taken the hardest schedule possible, only honors or AP classes, and I have done well. My cumulative weighted GPA has remained above a 4.0 every year due to my strength of schedule and my dedication to excellence. While taking all of these difficult classes, I have played several sports including Baseball, Basketball, and Volleyball, as well as participating in DECA and Academic Team.
I was the Student Director of the Teen Advisory Council, which serves as the youth executive board for the Ronald House. Throughout the entire year we planned a bowling fundraiser called, Spare Some Love. At this event we bring together families staying at the house with individuals within the community. Through gaining sponsors and raffling off donated baskets we were able to raise $28,000 for the house. I take special pride in this event because it combines multiple aspects of giving back.
I was also a part of another organization called, The Young Dreamer Network. In this organization we helped the local community during the school year by organizing food drives, doing community clean up, and planting trees. We also fundraised for a summer volunteer trip to developing countries where we were expected to help locals improve their
