As Plato said “The direction in which education starts a man will determine his future in life”. Wise career decisions have their implications throughout the life and education is an important catalyst in achieving goals of life. Having worked in the IT industry for over 3 years as a Systems Engineer in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and hands on experience in running my family business for a few months, have given me global exposure and I have experienced both failures and successes in terms of project deliveries which taught me that for a project to be successful, a strategy needs to be developed which is dependent on the kind of project to which it is applied to. Improper planning in the initial stages of a project results in adverse effects in the long run. Through my work, I’ve developed a high degree of technical expertise, so now I feel that I’m ready to move to the next level. Though I can learn many of the business practices, conventions and techniques for getting broadened exposure to the operations side of business, on my own, but due to the demanding nature of my current job and lack of sufficient time, I believe that taking a hiatus to go back to an academic environment to earn this highly specialized degree will prove to be an asset in my professional career. I see myself as an organized person. I have a planned life as I believe in reaching my goals step by step - accomplish a little each day.
