There were times when India was so great and powerful that it dominated the world economy with a GDP of more than 33% of the world. India had a sustained economy for thousands of years entirely dependent on the domestic production and not based on the theft of others. Harappan seals have been found in Greece and Rome which establish the fact that her people had inter-continental trade links and long distance ship building skills as far back as 5,000 years .
The Vedas and Upnishads created centuries ago are still relevant in Today’s scenario.

1. What three issues did Congress have to resolve while creating a national government? The Continental Congress had three issues to deal with while they created a new national government. The first issue was representation of states with different sized populations.
The American colonies needed to form a national government to represent them and to bring all the colonies together to stand up against British Parliament. They did this by assembling the First Continental Congress with representatives from each colony. These representatives became the decision makers for all the people. Those decisions led to the battles of Concord and Lexington, which started the American Revolution in 1775. After these battles occurred, a feeling of a major showdown was brewing between the colonies and Britain.
The U.S 's first government was created on September 17, 1787 when the US Constitution was signed. This event brought together all 13 states by a unanimous vote. With this, our new government was formed, but now that we have this new system and much more freedom, what exactly is the purpose of our government? Is it to run our businesses? make treaties? or just to say that we have one?
Argumentative Essay; American Founding I believe we should continue learning about our American Founding. They have taught our present founding not to make mistakes that our ancestors have made. I believe it is also important to know how our nation came together. Lastly it seems necessary to learn about them so we can keep citizens’ rights. Learning the Founding Fathers mistakes of the past have made us a better world today for the people.
One hundred years after the Constitution was ratified, a political party emerged that threatened to destroy it: the Progressive party. The Progressive party was built upon the idea that the American government is not doing anything to help the country move forward. They believe that there must be moving forward for the “…uplift and betterment of mankind…”(PR pg. 319). They believe that the government of the founding fathers is not keeping up with the rapid changes in society and that it must adapt to the new challenges (PR pg. 333). Although both the progressive party and the founding fathers declare that they want to guard against tyranny and uphold the good of the people, they have different approaches to the issue.
Most people may not know what America’s five founding ideals are. For those who don’t know they are, Liberty, Opportunity, Democracy, Rights, and Equality. The original colonists worked hard to give us these ideals. A lot of the time the people who live in the USA take it for granted. They don’t think about how the colonists worked to get us these rights.
Before the Gilded Age, transportation of any sort was slow, unreliable, and unavailable. However, with the invention of the assembly line and some invention, mass produced automobiles, subterranean trains, elevated trains and basic airplanes were spread out. Therefore, during the late 19th century, transportation was allowing for extreme expanse of trade and economic capability. One of the most prominent methods of transportation even before this time, railways were experiencing a major change during this time. Though it would eventually cause a stock market crash due to the closure of two major rail businesses, the roads themselves saw considerably more traffic due to a major expansion of the system.
The Marāthās, in particular, became so enraged that they eventually gained their independence from the Mughals and established their own empire,” (Gale). The departure of the Marāthās proves the lack of religious tolerance the Mughals had at times. The Marāthās were so enraged at the lack of acceptance that they left the empire rendering it smaller and weaker. This is just one example of the Mughals not only only neglecting to practice religious tolerance, but how refusing to accept all people for their beliefs backfired in the empire’s overall growth and unity.
The term Founding Fathers often refers to the individuals of the Thirteen British Colonies who led the American Revolution against the British Crown (England). An abundance of factors motivated the Founding Fathers to rebel against England. Among these factors were issues such as taxation without representation. Taxation without representation is “a situation in which government imposes taxes on a particular group of its citizens, despite the citizens not consenting or having an actual representative deliver their views when the taxation decision was made,” (Investopedia). The American colonists greatly disapproved of this issue.

Economic growth and economic development In measuring and identifying the factors that stimulate the growth of the economy of a nation such as the Republic of India, a distinction needs to be made between economic growth and economic development. For a nation to experience economic growth, there must be an increase in the gross domestic product (GDP), which is a qualitative measure of the value of all finished goods and services produced in that country within a period of time. However, economic development which is usually measured through the human development index (HDI), includes not only an increase in the output of goods and services, but an improvement in the welfare of individuals within a country.
