Operational sustainability' is a method used by organizations to evaluate if its business can maintain as is without placing possible resources at risk. Business sustainability is driven by companies managing their financial, social, economic and environmental risks, responsibilities and opportunities. Companies that continue to drive and maximize their profits, continue to develop their people and engage and make decisions for the environment in which it operates to often maintain sustainability. Manging and adjusting based on these allow the business to with stain environmental, industry or business changes or volatile situations. This process guides organizations to first define issues and identify the program goals, analyze the current procedure and its results and identify cause-and-effect relationships. Next, this guides the organization to mine the data and results and make improvements based off of findings. Based on this, controls and processes would need to be identified and implemented to enhance current processes. Finally an organization should control what is implemented to maintain success. Villanova research shows that the DMADV methodology should be utilized for innovation purposes. Similar to DMAIC, the first step would be to identify objectives and goals. Next would be to define quality features, product or production process capabilities, and associated risks. You would then conduct an analysis of your findings to develop an appropriate solution (Villanova, 2018). After these steps are completed an organization can enter the design stage of this innovation project, then test to verify it delivers quality and the goals and objectives set in step
