Protection of the atmosphere is each and everyone’s responsibility. This begins first with the people being aware of what their mandates are. They are supposed to know what their responsibilities are. During the creation of the EPA, the agency laid out their mission and visions where one of them was to teach people about their own environment and how they are supposed to protect it. It has made it possible for people to learn about their environment through their site and through various meetings and seminars.
The protection of environment is crucial to the wellbeing of this planet. The job of government is to protect and preserve the land on which its people live. However, there is a bill being considered that completely goes against this, one that calls for the eradication of the Environmental Protection Agency, a government program created to protect human and environmental wellbeing through their regulation of laws. I urge you to oppose bill H.R. 861 - the termination of the Environmental Protection Agency - because of the ways that the EPA protects air, water, and land.
There are several legislations governing wildlife protection in United State. Among them are Endangered Species Act of 1973 (ESA), Lacey Act 1900, Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), Eliminate, Neutralize and Disrupt (END) Wildlife Trafficking Act. US is also a signatory to Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). The widely recognized and best-known wildlife protection law in US is the ESA which has currently listed approximately 2,300 species including foreign species. Among species listed in ESA are birds, fish, mussels, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, invertebrate, plants and insects.
Environmental law has five types: the congressional statutes, presidential decrees, executive orders, administrative orders, and ordinances. examples were: in 1977 that was issued by President Marcos was the presidential decree no. 1151, creating an environment impact statement system. Followed by establishment of national parks to protect native plants and animals called National Integrated Protected Areas System Act in 1992. While in 1975, the presidential decree no.
The energy is spent on the operation of machinery involved in the food production, their transportation, and storage, as well as for the production of fertilisers, pesticides and so on. Fertilisers and pesticides, in turn, are derived from fossil fuels. Furthermore, since production generally occurs far from the place of consumption, it requires a significant amount of energy for processing the finished goods post-harvest, and then for cooling, or other methods of the products conservation, and transportation to the place of consumption. In vertical farms, machinery fit for work only using electric power that can be generated from renewable sources can be used. These may be solar batteries, placed along the perimeter of vertical farms, wind turbines and methane generation from composting non-eatable parts of plants and animals.
Of course, people are now much more aware of resource conservation but the point is that the rate of production/regeneration of resources can’t keep pace with the rate of consumption. As a result, forced overharvesting damages the resource base and subsequently the production. This is one way of deterioration of the forest resources. Unless education, training and research back up at grass-root level services are ensured, it becomes hardly achievable this gigantic task of sustainable
What Does Islam Say about Environmental Protection? Introduction Nowadays, we hear every day that our earth is becoming more and more polluted and that a day will come that our life on this planet will be no longer possible. This is undoubtedly the result of our own negligence toward the blessing that God had granted us, the blessing of nature and a clean environment: “It is He who created for you all that is in the earth…” (2:29). We are responsible for whatever is going on in our surroundings and at the same time dependent upon it to be able to live. It is important to note that at the time of the emergence of Islam, people did not face such complex environmental issues and thus this matter has not been dealt with in depth in Islam.
Human Rights and the environment We all depend on the environment to live. A safe and clean environment is important to a healthy and sustainable living that is imperative to the full enjoyment of a wide range of human rights, including the rights to life, health, food, water, and sanitation. Without the environment, we will be unable to fulfill our aspirations or even live at a level commensurate with minimum standards of human dignity. A healthy environment promotes a healthy life and enables us to find a means to the necessities of human living. From the basic need of shelter to food we all depend on the environment to sustain us.
The laws envisaged for regulating the internet have not kept pace with the changes in the medium and that is a cause for worry as these laws have proven to be either unconstitutional or obsolete. Next is the issue of privacy which come into focus with the growth of e-governance and information technology. Print media was seen to be invading privacy of influential persons in the last century are challenged once again with the way the internet is transforming the idea of publishing, communicating and reaching out
Abstract: The relation of environment and law is just as a relation that a man and nature share and sometimes over depend on each other. Therefore there is an urgent need of environmental law and policy with regard to both normative and positive dimensions. It begins with an examination of the central problem in environmental regulation like pollution levels in metro cities and what will the repercussions be if not regulated. This paper will discuss about the rising environmental concern of India and how with the help of laws and policies different programmes and initiatives are being taken to curb pollution. Also there is a detailed analysis of the recent policy in the NCR to tackle severe air pollution.
