“Exert your talent and distinguish yourself and never think of retiring from the world, until the world feels sorry that you retire”
- Samuel Johnson
In this quest of gaining knowledge and wisdom these are the words which drive me towards excellence. This is what I keep saying to myself because of my intense fervor and ardor in the field of science and technology. Time and time after this feeling of accomplishing something awe-inspiring has cultivated within me and has instigated me towards doing things which are productive and fecund. In my schooling I always use to wonder of the magnificence with which the human body is modeled. Questions related to Organs, Cells, Proteins, DNA always use to captivate me and would propel me into an unfathomable world.
While working with various tools of Bioinformatics I experienced that

At a very early age itself getting a responsibility to handle your fellow school mates as a prefect wasn’t an easy job. It was a challenge, a challenge I overcame because of my sheer determination. My ability to analyze a situation, handle crisis, understand the mindset of different people is something this experience gave me. Working according to others expectations and at the same time giving our best is what i believe in. Throughout my school and undergraduate education, I have been a keen participant in extra-curricular activities such as sports, cultural activities and social service. Being the Vice President of Street Cause, a NGO, giving back to the society became a decisive factor in my outlook towards life. My association with people from different walks of life strengthened my resolve to give back to the society. Analyzing the root cause of a problem by completely understanding it and finding a solution by taking account of the sensitivity of people further helped me nurture my critical judgmental
The Life You Can Save by Peter Singer is a book explaining that our current response to world poverty is not only lacking, but ethically weak. He argues that we need to change our views of what is involved in living a moral life. Throughout the book, Peter proposes ways to save money to donate and then giving it to reliable charities and also, he offers a seven-point plan that mixes personal philanthropy, local activism, and political awareness to help us play our part in bringing about change. In response to this book, some people have taken Singer’s advice and started to follow his plan towards helping end world poverty, while others have criticized him and exclaimed that it is not his place to tell people what to do. I myself agree with
The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
and I made it my personal mission to dedicate myself to making a positive impact on society. Oftentimes, to remind myself of the importance of activism and service to others, I consider a quote by the South African revolutionary, Nelson Mandela: “action without vision is only passing time; vision without action is merely daydreaming; but vision with action can change the world.” Being socially responsible gives our actions purpose. When school policy prevented girls from representing our school’s Spirit Squad, I campaigned for more inclusivity, and was met with overwhelming support from my

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world” (“Anne Frank Quotes”). This quote by famed diarist Anne Frank conveys the message that anyone at any point in time can make an effort to better the lives of those around them, spreading their love and encouragement across the globe. Over and over, ordinary people have found success in various points in history where the odds have been considerably stacked against them, showing that nothing is impossible. On a daily basis, individuals have a profound influence on those that they come into contact with without even being aware of it. Simply spreading optimism and having an overall positive presence can leave a footprint that will live on in the minds
This world is filled with issues and millions of people are the victims of these issues. We not only have responsibility to our family and our community, but we also have a duty to help and care for each other in the world despite the racial and status differences. In the community setting, it is important to take part of organizations that establish rules beneficial to the public. We have a commitment on this earth, as global citizens to be beneficial and decrease the poverty, the shootings, and the plagues to make this world a better place for the present and the
As long as I can remember, I knew that college was going to be part of my future. That is because I always knew what my family expected out of me. College is not only important to me for the reason of making my parents proud, but for making sure that I create more out of myself, as well. With a higher education, I will have more job opportunities available, potentially be able to earn higher income, and obtain more useful life skills than somebody who does not have a college education. To begin, having a college education under my belt is important to me because I will have more opportunities for a job, after I complete my four years.
Why do I want to attend college? College is an honorary achievement and it separates the determined from the undetermined. Owning a college to degree is an honor and an ecstatic feeling. Through college, that job is that much closer in the grasp. Through college, a person can perform at an elite level and really push themselves for greatness.
Doing what I love and being able to support myself and loved ones is important to me. I am a very independent person and I like to do things my way. I like to set individual goals everyday, whether that means doing my homework before a certain time, or completing something for the week. They help me get my work done on time and efficiently.
“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all,” said Aristotle. Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, was absolutely, undeniable correct by saying that even the most respected knowledge is worthless without the passion or heart. Even though he was a philosopher from centuries ago, his ideals apply today. Going to college and graduating with a degree is only the beginning of my young life. When one is taught to care about their family and community, it is their goal to use their education to benefit those around them.
College was never a question to me. It was a statement. I grew up knowing that one day I’ll get a scholarship, go to college, and become a physician. College was always on my mind when I needed to raise a grade or when I studied. Yet, do I actually want to go to college?
Most of the time I have no choice but to spend from my own pocket to reach places and people who desperately need my help. I have realized that some drug addicts will not come to me for help; therefore, as a social worker, I will dedicate my time to visit them, talk to them and offer them rehabilitation and help. Similarly, when going to areas stricken with poverty, I will have to bring along things like foodstuff and clothes to offer the poor. Voluntary service helps to change people’s perspectives on life and makes them feel obligated to achieve something good as ‘payback’ to the volunteers who help them without asking for pay. Therefore, by doing voluntary work, I will be making a big difference in the society.
From contesting for this position to getting elected and working for betterment of my house group, I gained a lot of experience and self-confidence and became more responsible. Being a vice captain, I played an important role in addressing and motivating students, advising and helping them, and earning points for my group by participating in many competitions alone or in a team. I also served as the student voice of the school to a variety of external and internal constituents. The student council served as a bridge between the students and the school heads and administration.
With the help of my family I have come to realize that I do not want to be another carbon copy confined to this society. Because of my families’ essential and exacting needs I know that I love being part of a solution. I assist them in matters they would otherwise fail to do. Being granted the opportunity to help others in even worse circumstances should be far more thrilling and satisfying. Everyone’s entitled to a life of adventure but some lack commitment and end up living a life of conformity which I imagine is the root of unhappiness.
There is this famous saying, ''Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow". I could not agree more. Growing up as a kid, I vividly recall myself always being enthusiastic to learn and explore. Now I stand on the state where I can proudly say that this passion has driven my growth, motivated me to grow even further and augmented my hunger for quality education.
