Many years ago, in my country, study abroad was always mentioned as something with a high threshold, impossible to achieve and just only for the upper class of society because of the tuition fee. But now, everything is changing with the furious speed so study overseas is “opened” for everyone who can demonstrate their ability deserve to be welcomed. We all want to find a brighter future for our life, to reach our dream job with an acceptable salary and a chance to go further in our career. Studying in a better curriculum is also the reason why we have a desire to be an international student with the purpose that we can easily put ourselves in the process of nurturing our maturity, defining who we are and developing our characteristics. That is also my dream, my biggest ambition because I was born in a low-income family. I don’t really have the best condition to truly study without worried because I have to help my parents for reducing their difficulties which they have been through for a long time. I have been doing lots of research just to know more about other countries ' curriculum and study abroad is a chance for me to learn the whole new way of learning, to see and actually allowed to use modern schooling facilities and moreover, I want to prevent myself from depending on my parents. When you go far away from your cozy and safe shield, you have to fight every moment to survive and grown because if you can not do that, you will fall in the most painful way. My father has recently become unemployed, and my mother is still recovering from surgery as I write this essay and is also unable to work. I know my parents support my decision to study abroad, but they must prioritize the day-to-day needs of my siblings and their medical bills, and as such they cannot possibly afford to aid me financially. Unfortunately, I have continued to put off participation in international education because of financial hardship. I distinctly remember during the fall of my freshman year of college not being able to afford a one-week international exchange program.
My passion for nursing practice defies description; leading to the reason I am opting to pursue a higher level of education in nursing. The George Washington University School of nursing has one of the highly ranked master’s programs in the country, which offers a competitive curriculum and highly defined leadership skills that integrates technology into learning. It is therefore my desire to pursue an advance education at this facility because it prepares practitioners to become great clinicians ready to solve real-world clinical problems. Moreover, the opportunity to pursue a degree in this facility will afford me the ability to be a competent and highly efficient family nurse practitioner; that will serve the community and mostly the underserved. I am the last child in a family of eight that has aspired to pursue my education at the graduate level.

Studying abroad will afford me the opportunity to experience dealing with diversity and cultural differences on a first-hand basis which in turn will help prepare me for a job in my desired field. Family is people that are the closest to these students, they should be more understanding, open and patient to listen to their children’s worries and problems about universities’ lives (“Coping with bad grades”, n.d.). Friends are another group of people that these students can talk to. Sometimes these students do not possess any help-seeking behaviors so parents and friends have to be observant and approach them first. They might be reluctant at first but if they feel that they can believe in the people they are talking to, they will express their feelings and worries about universities lives. After the talk, parents should understand the reasons why these students are having hard times at universities and feeling stress.
It is encouraged for students to learn foreign languages as it has numerous benefits. Most countries have introduced foreign language starting from the early age. Today, the high school graduates are required to study foreign language in schools as it becomes a requirement for them to graduate from certain college with minimum of two years of learning foreign languages. Hence, the students are encouraged to learn on other language. Basically, foreign language is a native to another country and it is also a language which is not spoken in the native country of the person referred to.
