I strive for greatness in all that I do, and yes that comes with a few failures that I have had to face, but as Winston Churchill once said: "Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.". Going through high school I faced many challenges that almost every teenager can relate to like: bullying, failing a test or quiz, being stressed out about a paper, and the biggest one to me, what am I going to do after high school. I'm not sure what my true calling in life is just yet but figuring out what to do next is like a puzzle: half the fun is trying to figure it out. Homework can be a pain and can sometimes feel unmanageable. Many people have issues with procrastination which is understandable, it is hard to focus on homework when your favorite show is on or your phone goes off, so being able to budget ones time is a useful skill to have. Although it can be laborious to avoid distractions and interruptions, there are two tips I use to stay on task. First, in order for me to concentrate I need to be focused on one thing at a time. Multitasking can lead to sloppy, unfinished, and unpolished work. Another strategy I use to stay on task with my school work is keeping a calendar. Keeping a calendar is beneficial because it shows what I have going on that day, when I am free to do school work, and what work I have to accomplish. Without a calendar I would be forgetting about assignments and prior obligations. Using these tips can help one with bettering themselves in both school and everyday

When I was in high school, my grade-point average was a measly 2.3. I did poorly on my SAT scores, so my only option was to apply to a community college. I was thankful to be admitted to Ohlone College, as my grade point average is now a 3.4. In retrospect, I realized that my success in community college was because of: hard work, dedication, and continuous growth. Freshmen year of college, I took a psychology class.

As long as I can remember, I knew that college was going to be part of my future. That is because I always knew what my family expected out of me. College is not only important to me for the reason of making my parents proud, but for making sure that I create more out of myself, as well. With a higher education, I will have more job opportunities available, potentially be able to earn higher income, and obtain more useful life skills than somebody who does not have a college education. To begin, having a college education under my belt is important to me because I will have more opportunities for a job, after I complete my four years.

My journey consisted of many good and bad times, and throughout the years I discovered my strengths and weaknesses. I made new friends, took on different tests, accomplished many things. My first year was my most difficult, being new to the school, but as the years went by, school became a more fun experience for me. Knowing that the 4 years of high school was a journey for me, I was able to brace myself for the difficult times to come and the rewards I was going to receive. At the end of the journey, I had gained a lot from these 4 years, but it also prepared me for my next journey, my journey through university.
Personality Traits for Being Successful in College There are hundreds of personality traits that can describe a single person. Some traits are more dominate than others. However, I cannot just be described in just one word, because I am more than just one. I am adventurous; organized, passionate; reliable, resourceful and many more.

College was always one of my long term goals as I continued with my education. Throughout the years I began to work harder and harder so I could secure my future. I knew that getting to college would not be easy. I am about to embark on a four year journey in one of the hardest fields to pursue. I will continue my education as a Nursing major at a four year university.
