TOPIC: How important of Sustainable Community Development
Sustainable community development is development that maintaining everything in long time from generation to generation. Sustainability is important for environmental, social, and economic reasons. Sustainability practices can be integrated into an existing community, but are typically easier to plan and carry out during community development.
A sustainable community resembles a living system in which human, natural and economic elements are interdependent and draw strength from each other.
Sustainable community development is extremely important to our life. So, how important of Sustainable Community Development?
First of all, sustainable community development also develop the economy.

Making use of solar power, geothermal heating and cooling systems, and wind energy can significantly reduce a community 's reliance on gas, coal, and other forms of energy. For the most cost-effective means of implementing energy conservation practices in a community, planning and construction should take place as early as possible during community development.
Currently, every resources are being used very waste. By purchasing products packaged with recycled materials, and then electing to recycle, reuse, or compost as much waste as possible, citizens can take a proactive approach to reducing waste. Communities can encourage recycling, employ strategies designed to convert waste to energy, and compost organic materials for using around town.
In a community, if the development is unresonable, people will have no sense about the importance of the environment pollution. Pollution control should be a priority for all sustainable communities. Oppositely, people will encourage each other to protect the environment. There are numerous pollution-control strategies that communities can employ to reduce emissions and pollution, including promoting the use of public transportation or eco-friendly vehicles, constructing sidewalks to encourage foot traffic, and offering incentives to citizens who use green energy sources to power their

Sustainable development is cleaner, has the potential to be more efficient, has long-term potential and is is the only way forward for a growing world economy. People already use a huge amount of the Earth 's non-renewable resources to live their everyday lives. As more people join them, more of these resources are needed and the faster these resources are depleted. Over enough time, sustainable development will no longer be an option for people who want to feel good about their choices. It will be the only available option for cities and regional development. It 's simply a matter of time until there is no option. The question is whether humans have the will to make the transition toward sustainability on their own terms or if they will simply be forced to make a rapid transition when all of the other options finally run
Sustainability involves the ability to be self-sufficient, as well as maintaining the natural environment around one. Native American groups could fully utilize the environment around them and cause little damage to their surroundings. Such sufficiency gave groups the ability to flourish, and establish large communities. Today there are many people who still maintain a self-sufficient lifestyle, however external factors have limited their abilities. These factors relate to social justice, which is described as a distribution of wealth, opportunities and privilege in society.
The street lights used to illuminate the streets and sidewalks are another example of light pollution. They may light the streets, but there's no cover for the lights so the light shines upward where it’s unneeded. This a large problem in not only major cities, but in small towns as well. In my small town of Sebewaing we use similar streetlights that don’t have the top covers on them. The solution to this problem is another simple one, and that is to just put covers over top of the lamps so that the light is directed downward and avoids shining in the sky.
Some cities in china have everyone wear gas masks when they go outside. That 's just tragic! Can you imagine getting lung cancer for standing outside for 10 minutes? Cars can release 2 different kinds of pollution. There is primary pollution that goes straight into the air to pollute it and secondary pollution.
Imagine living in a world where the air is polluted and most people are afraid to step outside their front door, in the near future, this may be reality for Americans. Americans throw out over 200 million tons of garbage a year, yet recycle not nearly as much. Most people do not realize it but recycling is a vital part of America’s society and if Americans do not perform this action, it will backfire on them. People in America are debating whether Americans are recycling enough and correctly. After analyzing the data, one will definitely agree that Americans need to be more educated on recycling due to the fact that most people do not know what happens after they recycle an item, nearly all Americans are recycling incorrectly, and Am To begin,
ASSESSMENT/AUDIT 1. Understanding of why it is important to measure sustainability and the associated problems and conflicts of different indicator sets and types Evidence – It is really difficult to find exact concept for measuring sustainability. For instance the measurement of life parameters is differ between different cultures and individuals. So, different solutions will be required to be found for many different communities. However; we should not assume that things we cannot measured easily is not important.

I agree with the assertion that in the context of Sustainable Development ‘the reality of life today is that the economy dominates environment and society. The Concept of Sustainable Development Sustainable development refers to “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs”, and was produced by the Brundtland report (WCED, 1987). The concept also takes into account the needs of the poor in developing countries by outlining achievable objectives of importance (WCED, 1987).
wind energy and solar energy are both renewable types of energy they create no pollution and are fully sustainable as they are both powered by natural sources and if there is no wind one day the solar panels can generate energy and if it 's cloudy another day the windmills can generate energy also the energy created during the summer can be sold to the grid for extra capital that can be used for field trips, renovations, etc. Geothermal heating systems are rated the most efficient and eco-friendly heating systems. The system works using buried coils that contain a liquid, typically a mix of water and antifreeze. The liquid is warmed to the same temperature as the earth and then runs through to the home where a compressor extracts the heat but not only that geothermal heating requires no fossil fuels so it is very eco-friendly LED lighting is an efficient and eco friendly lighting alternative because they waste much less energy in converting to light compare to incandescent lights which waste 90% of the energy to convert to heat not only that LED lights last up to 15-25 times longer that traditional light bulbs this makes LED a much better source of lights than others because it wastes less energy and it is more efficient at doing its job this is so much better for the environment because it uses less energy that other lighting sources
Lastly, I would give ways on what you can do to have cleaner air. II. Body a. To begin with, pollution can be
Sustainable development is a model that aims to link the idea of what is to be sustained, with what is to be developed, and focuses on three pillars, economics, social and environmental (Kates, Parris, and Leiserowitz, 2005; pp. 3). As a holistic approach it seeks to develop the three pillars, on a local, regional and global level. This paper will analyse the concept of sustainable development and the strengths and weaknesses of this approach will be discussed. Firstly, a background of this model will be presented, which will explore the three pillars. Secondly, the strengths and weaknesses will be evaluated, and lastly, a brief contrast will be provided of the opinions of sustainable development between the Global North and Global South.
To become a sustainable society, we must eliminate our contributions to: No1. The increase of concentrations of substances extracted from the Earth’s crust (heavy metals and fossil fuels) No2. The increase of concentrations of substances produced by society (plastics, dioxins and DDT) No3. The physical degradation of nature and natural processes (harvesting forests and destroying habitat)
Following the industrial revolution, it took industrialized countries more than 200 years to establish a living standard under which an environmental movement could emerge. Furthermore, the gap worldwide between the rich and the poor is widening (OECD, 2015). As a reaction, the growing population from developing countries understandably demands equitable living conditions compared to citizens in Europe or the United States. However, establishing higher standards of living is opposed to concentrating efforts on reducing emissions. As a result there will be decades of ever-increasing GHGs globally, currently primarily caused by developed countries and by developing countries in the
Kahn’s (1995) approach to the sustainable development theory is consistent with the modern day development techniques of Europe 2020 priorities; smart growth, sustainable growth and inclusive growth. The adoption of some innovative strategies such as the utilisation of renewable energy as an integral part of the energy mix could result in growth of the economy, which will eventually trickle down to the poor or extend to the rural or disadvantaged areas of the country. The social sustainability generally explains the idea of equity among the people, empowerment, participation, accessibility and institutional stability. It seeks to ensure a good standard of living in the country by alleviating poverty. Environmental sustainability seeks to explain the ways in which exploitation and utilisation of the natural resources will not be made to negatively affect the environment or the health of human beings (Kahn 1995).
There are many problems that threatens society and one problem in particular, air pollution is a problem that threatens everyone. Air pollution is the contamination of air with pollutants that are harmful to humans, animals, and the environment. It began to be a problem when humans discovered the uses of fire and then the amount of air pollution exponentially grew after the industrial revolution, and is still a problem even today. The largest causes of air pollution are from human activities such as burning of fossil fuels and gas emissions from manufacturing plants. There are ways that ordinary people can help contribute to prevent air pollution and or else face the dangerous consequences of polluted air.
