There is no other family like my family. that is why Thanksgiving is the most sacred family tradition in my family. It is filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of scrumptious food. Thanksgiving for my family, is an all day event, and can get hectic at times. I day starts off with an early morning breakfast cooked by my father.
My ethnography and fieldwork takes place at Loafers Bread Company in Wexford, Pennsylvania. The business is located in Wexford Plaza, along with many other restaurants and shops. I chose this company for my ethnography because two of my good friends from high school work there and I decided it would be interesting to see what it was like as they are always talking about Loafers. It was easy to establish contacts because I had my friends there to help me out and introduce me to the others. My first encounter with the group went well.
Every time I eat one of the cookies, I immediately think of going to Grandma’s and how much joy baking with my grandma brought me. I hope baking this recipe brings you as much joy as it brings
Thanksgiving Personal Narrative Some people attend parties, feasts, or even carnivals for Thanksgiving. On the other hand, I am kind of different. I love to spend time with my family making arts and crafts.
Thanksgiving is coming, and I want ask you if you know, what does it mean ? Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated to eat the food with who we love or like such as our family. Some people ,they donot and cannot have like what we have, but they can share us our plates . Many of the people suffer from hunger and poorst also ailment when we can help them. therefore I decide with group of people to establish small center to help the weak people, and we will try to make the best in the next Thanksgiving to see the smile on faces poor people.
Last reason is my grandma makes amazing food. Every year my family and i have a christmas party and my grandma makes
As a little girl, Christmas was my favorite holiday. There was always a big meal and plenty of presents for everyone. After every Christmas dinner, my mother would wonder her way into the closest bedroom for a short snooze. “Mommy, let’s go open presents!” I would squeal.
My Family Thanksgiving Imagine you and your family all having a good time, enjoying yourself, and watching T.V. And that’s some of what I did at Thanksgiving. My family are very important to me because, they make other people laugh and do nice things. My Aunt Joann likes to make jokes, makes people laugh a lot, and makes great sweet potato pie.
I have always LOVED Thanksgiving. This wonderful holiday reminds me of how lucky I am to have an awesome family, karate, and shelter. I have an awesome family because, they take care of me when I’m sick or hurt. They also support me, like when I was in my old school someone bullied me and I told my parents so they helped support me. Lastly, they are supper nice.
The pecan pie had to be just about the best one I ever had. It tasted just like freshly cooked, warm pecans, in a pie crust, with frosting on them. Thanksgiving dinner lasted us for the rest of our trip in South Carolina. When we arrived home, I immediately knew that I would never forget this trip. If given the option of doing this again next year, as opposed to having Thanksgiving at home as usual, I would immediately say
For Christmas my family usually comes to my house. We usually make dinner and everyone makes and brings something to the dinner. We usually make tamales for Christmas or menudo. This year we made tamales.
Thanksgiving It was thanksgiving morning and little Timmy was very excited. It was his first time staying over at Grandma 's and Grandpa’s since his parents were gone on a vacation. As he got up he smelled coffee and bread coming from downstairs. His grandparents apartment was one level above the bakery that they owned. Timmy was very confused, he thought he heard Grandma say the they the bakery wasn’t going to be open since it was Thanksgiving.
They brought food to share, and I, of course, made many lists for this holiday dinner, so as not to forget anything. I included horsdevores, dinner, and desserts, as part of the menu. And again… I forgot things that were needed. I made up another list for my hubby to take to the store, sang jubilantly, “Honey, I forgot to get…” He looks at me disdainfully, rolls his eyes, and says, “Give me a list.”
Tamales are an ancient and modern cunei that brings family’s together and there made uniquely and has a cultural background. When the Aztec women were taken along in battle as cooks for the army. There was a need to have a more portable yet sustainable food and the tamales could be made ahead of time, packed and warmed as needed. Now we cook tamales more for holidays and in the fall time. Originally, the tamales were cooked by burying them in hot ashes, which made them crispy and brown.
The majority of my friends love Thanksgiving, and I love it, too! I just love it not so much for the food or because you’re with family; all of those things are nice too. Me and my family love Thanksgiving because of Black Friday Shopping. Oh sure we cook food and say a prayer together and all of that good stuff, but while we do all of those nice things we look at all the sales papers. We write several lists down of the items everyone wants buy for the sales.
