The ODL is also not an exception as the system needs more proactive steps in the use of technologies to reach the diverse sections, careful planning and administration of technologies are vital in this regard. As per the IGNOU model of ODL development, apart from Self Learning Materials (SLMs) to the learners, Audio and Video lessons are more helpful in learning activities since the distance learners are away from the host institutions and they rarely visit the study centre or regional centre for support services. Further Teleconferencing is one of the key activities in ODL to interact with the learners and to have two way interactions with the subject experts through live sessions of Television. The teleconferencing facility is more helpful in clarifying the doubts and to address the real needs of the learners in their study. The following are the emerging developments of the IGNOU in the field of Open and Distance

Unconfined workspace: There are numerous benefits to distance learning (e-learning) programs. Learners are not confined to a single work area, as this is the situation in the traditional classroom setting. Technology advancement is modifying the way people learn, and technology moved the classroom to our houses or anyplace we decide to obtain education of various kinds. In organizations, distant learning may be a way for people to improve his or her skills of the workforce cost efficiently. The company has the ability to benefit from this and save funding by no longer having the necessity to reimburse workers for their trip’s mileage in the event the employee has to train at a different facility.
Outline Introduction Online education, which is also known as distance education, is an education that is based on the internet and utilise many types of technology. This type of education is different from the traditional or classroom education . Some people think that online education is not an adequate method of learning, however, others think that online education is an easier and more efficient way of learning. Moreover, survey result from Pew research center in 2011 shows that around 23% of college graduates attend the online class and about 15% of those completely acquired the degree from online education. ( FINAL ESSAY JUST PARAPHRASE ) It goes without saying that technology will improve the learning path, makes education simpler and more enthusiastic. Using technology in education allows students to learn through internet, which makes it easier for them, also it has a positive influence on their academic performance. In today’s modern world, it is a successful investment to invest money in integrating technology in education.
In the 20th century, children were educated by texts, books, and quotes. Nowadays, children are being educated by wikipedia, or google, and sometimes even youtube. Children in America used to be taught how to write in cursive, but now, they are only taught how to write in print. Technology has made a huge difference in the amount of learning done by children. Many schools today use ipads, or computers in school, and while it is a fun privilege to have to have computer time once a day or so, it is a distraction to students to have ipads and computers because children do not use them for education, as much as they do for playing games on.
On online learning, students will build the interaction with the instructor through out by text, audio, and video. Indeed, online course offering a good deal of students capability to regulate their own time without being controlled by institutions. (Bejerano, A, 2008) .Which means that students do not need to do some activities and have more flexibility of time. However, considering the fact that online learning distance of students to the student society, it can be easily affected on how the students achieve the goals. In specify, for students who take higher education such as undergraduate, graduate, and master via online learning they definitely separated by physical interaction.
Because of the rather high cost of organizing each learning program, it is not worthwhile often organize learning. In addition, Tele -education could reduce problem of different basic knowledge among learners because they could specifically choose the subject of their own interest. • Receive correct and interesting instruction: Tele-education gives each learner substance of lessons identical in all respects, with the original undistorted through transfer. Every time each learner calls up the substance of the same lesson, the system will demonstrate the same information to all learners.
“Online education is like that sweet honey, Which one can enjoy to the fullest by paying very less money.” Education being a necessity of life is always taken into the prime consideration. It started with the era of ‘Rishi-Munis’ (Priests and saints) when learning was given in a place away from the crowd of the towns and cities. But slowly the time changed and the modern time introduced proper classrooms for studies and providing education, which is still the most prominent way of learning today.
It is very helpful for the distance education, students and teachers themselves and they also seen the advantages of educational technology. Educational technology was growing day by day in the classroom system and students of new generation were ready to work on latest technology which play important role in learning and acquiring cognitive knowledge. Educational technology improved the student’s hidden skills, cognitive characteristics and receiving new information but we must find the best strategy to apply technologies in teaching
Looking up from my reading my history book I realize something I have become so accustomed to: the amount of technology being used in the classroom. Everyone is on their school issued iPads. Some appear to be glued to the screen like they’re watching something, and others look like madmen with their fingers flying across the keyboard, trying to keep up with the lecture. The lecture is on a laptop which is connected to a projector, putting it up on a Smartboard. Long gone are the days of blackboards and chalk.
With the benefits of social media, it plays a big part in the students’ everyday lives. In using this, it allows people to be updated every day with regards to what is happening in their surroundings. Most of the students use social media for academic purposes, for instance, to be able to interact or communicate with their classmates and teachers with regards to the activities and tasks that have given to them. People, in general,

Introduction Information communication technology provides the society with new communication capabilities. People can now communicate with others using videos from others of different parts of the world, instant messaging, social media sites like face book, twitter which allows people to remain in contact and communicate and share information easily and on regular basis. 1-Introduction Today, technology has developed a lot and invaded every field of our life. One of the fields affected by this progress in technology is education. Now online learning is one of the aims that is achieved in education sectors all over the world. This is a way of learning by which learning is done through the internet. There is no need for students to go to school or university in order to learn something new.
As the online scene is rapidly prevailing in our everyday life, the traditional form of face to face learning is slowly shifting its practice towards online learning. Online courses are becoming a growing trend with a flexible way of functioning in respect to time, location and accessibility. However, even though it sounds appealing, students need to consider the advantages and features of face to face learning which cannot be found online. Traditional educationis based on and helps develop: communication skills through interaction, discipline and organization, as well as a distinct value that traditional degrees have for future career advancement. Those in favor of online learning would argue that communication online is possible and just as valuable of an interaction.
