The Dahlonega Gold Museum has long since been an attraction for tourists to this little mountain town. It harbors many displays of historical artifacts and interesting items that tell the story of how Dahlonega became the city it is today. From huge gold nuggets, to maps of the mines, to a document signed by the 10th president of the United States- the Gold Museum features objects that brilliantly display the charm and the history of Dahlonega. But as wonderful as the artifacts are, they can’t compare to the hospitality of the historians and volunteers who work at the Gold Museum.
It has outstanding exhibits on the native and post-Columbian history of the state. It begins with the Native American Tribes. It explains the life of a Native American surviving cold, harsh winter and hot humid summers. There are hand on activities including sailing a ship, and walking into a teepee to understand how one lives. Then it leads to the State’s history going into today’s century.
For example, The Ferry has magnificent scenery that flaunts the crystal waters of the Potomac and Shenandoah. Even Thomas Jefferson declared that it “is perhaps one of the most stupendous scenes in nature”. It also shows the importance of African American civil rights because of Storer College, John Brown’s Fort, and Maryland Heights. The park attracts tourists which helps the economy of the state since tourism in our largest industry. The park also has trails and walks for athletic visitors because history isn’t the only feature of the park.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan is known for its various art exhibits. There are numerous exhibits that hold art of religious significance. This includes the Temple of Dendur. This temple is located in Gallery 131, the Sackler wing of the museum. The Temple of Dendur was built about 15 BC and completed around 10 BC.
The museums had very intriguing artifacts to look at, I was mesmerized by all the different cultural and religious artifacts I viewed. After viewing all the exhibitions, I liked the Greek Mythology section the most because of the different statues and pottery, most of the exhibition was mostly either of paintings or jewelries. The Greek Mythology had statutes of almost very god/goddess and what represents them. The artifact I chose is called Terracotta Bell-Krater (bowl for mixing wine and water). This artifact was located on the first floor of the museum, and there is other type of vases and Greek artifacts around it including statues of Greek Gods.
“wow!” I thought as I stood amazed trying to analyze the significance through each piece of art. Art has always been a form of expression. Although art has been seen as a way of freedom of speech; it did not begin to show up until the 1960’s when their art made by minorities started to be appreciated. MOLAA museum shows an important aspect of U.S. history.
A journey to remember One of the best ways to experience the serenity of this beautiful place - somehow desolate yet lush, tropical and foreboding - is by paddling the network of waterways that skirt the northwest portion of the park. The Everglades National Park trip is no less than a treat to the eyes, one will cherish his/her entire life. When in Everglades,
What makes it different from other museums is the fact that you can also learn about yourself and your roots. The center will
Austin, Texas, the home of many starving artists and musicians. Austin is known for its respect of free expression and culture. Due to this well known respect, the city is thriving with art galleries and live music venues. I chose to tour the Blanton Museum of Art, a renowned museum that is right in the heart of the great Texas capitol. The museum is currently hosting an exhibit created by an Austin local, Natalie Grant.
Another exhibit that caught my eyes was the aquatic hallway. Walking into this hallway feels as if I am under water with all sorts of aquatic life. Everything in this hallway is three times the size of the original ratio of each animal and plant. Above all, the butterfly rainforest is the most beautiful and heart-warming attraction at the Museum. Upon entering one of the Museum’s main attractions one may notice the “Wall of Wings.”
I choose the Crystal River State Archaeological State Park in Crystal River , Florida. It is more commonly know as the Indian Burial Mounds. The park itself is in a beautiful location , overlooking the Crystal River on one side and grassy plains on the other side. There is recreational activities in the park as well as the museum. Some of the activities are salt and freshwater fishing , picnicking , bird watching and nature walks.

It is a place that people can escape the harsh and cruelness of the world through enjoying the peace and serenity of nature. Many people don't take into account and admire the surroundings that were created for us. This is why I have chosen to observe my own public park. February 6, 2016 was a rather unusual winter day because of the high temperatures that was in the 90° F. During the early afternoon when I arrived
