Vastu Shastra is an ancient Indian science of harmony and ascendant living by eliminating negative and enhancing positive energies around us. Human beings, spend most of their time inside a building such as home, office or anything else. It’s also a fact that all things in the universe have a level of energy associated with them. Hence it’s apt to say that all buildings and even the land on which a building is erected has vibrations of energy associated with it. Many of India’s ancient science and knowledge also got neglected and received very less attention over centuries, hence today’s fast paced society has very limited or no knowledge of vastu and find it difficult to appreciate and use the benefits of vastu while purchasing/constructing accommodation, office, home etc. In ancient India period, people believed accommadation as a living organism and treated constructing a house as sacred ceremony. Also, they named the spirit dwelling in the house as Vastu Purusha. It is different directions belong to different Gods that supervise respective sectors of the house. The expressions Mandala, Chakra and Yantra are synonymous. Mandala is explained as that which gathers the essential detail (mandam laati).The Chakra and Yantra too perform similar functions. Like Chakra, the Mandala too denotes visualization, an act of bringing together all significant details; those details might pertain to the world or the body or the structure of the building or whatever. It also brings together the outer and the inner faculties or energies. Though all the three mean the same, they have somehow seemed to have acquired distinct forms.
