The medical definition of weightloss is a decrease in body weight resulting from either voluntary (diet, exercise) or involuntary (illness) circumstances.
According to WHO, there are more than 1 billion overweight adults all over the world who pose a major risk for various chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and stroke, and certain forms of cancer. Economic growth, modernization, urbanization and globalization of food markets are just some of the forces thought to underlie the global effect. Quick fix diet is a fast way to lose weight as they tend to cut certain foods out of the diet which is certainly not good for you.
