The Good Samaritan The Good Samaritan was about a man who was attacked by robbers when he was travelling from Jerusalem to Jericho.He was beaten,stripped of clothes, and left to die on the side of the road.A priest and a Levite passed him without helping him, but a Samaritan took pity on him.He bandaged his wounds and paid for his room in an inn, and asked the innkeeper to make sure he was back to full health.There are many examples of Good Samaritans in our society today, and acts of good character are needed more than ever with problems like poverty prominent in the world.Despite these problems, we still do have many people trying to make a difference and making the world a better place. An important example of Good Samaritans in our society are charities.Many charities, help poor, sick, and injured people get back on their feet and live a better life.Charities take pity on people that have been wronged and help them with what they need just like the Good Samaritan. This quote from the passage best compares charities with the Samaritan: “a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.” Charities help everyone, no matter what their circumstance is.If people need food, they go to food banks, if people are injured they can get money from charities to pay for their medical care, and there are many other examples.
