Frankie is hard working, unappreciated, but an all around great mom toward her family. Frankie is a good model because she is the living form of the mother archetype. She is a very hard worker, very relatable, and very unselfish and caring for others. Another great mother archetype example in modern literature and media is Claire Dunphy, from modern family. Claire will always fight for what’s right.
This mom is also there for emotional support when Esperanza needed it. She is also one of the strongest women in the plot of the story. This makes Esperanza look up to her mom and make herself want to be a strong woman when she grows up. Esperanza's mom helps influence the way Esperanza wants to live her life in the future. The last of the three most influential characters is Marin.
My mom is my best friend, my sister, and my mom; I tell her everything and she tells me everything! I am so thankful I have such a strong relationship with my mom, because some people do not have a mother figure in their life at all. My mom is my modern day hero because of her strength, generosity, and confidence. The first characteristic that makes my mom my modern day hero, is her strength. Like most mothers, my mom goes through a lot in one day, especially with three kids.

“What is free time? I'm a single mother. My free moments are filled with loving my little girl.” This astounding quote spoken incredibly by Roma Downey truly captures the essence of Mrs. Moreno in the sense that her heart overflows with love for her daughter, Yollie, and she would die to make Yollie happy. Mrs. Moreno gives her daughter unconditional love and would stop at nothing to keep a smile on her baby’s face. From the mesmerizing short story, “Mother and Daughter” by Gary Soto, it is apparent that the protagonist, Mrs. Moreno is an impeccable, almost perfect mother because she dedicated, optimistic and resourceful, and most of all loving towards her daughter.

However, during the Districts race, around the beginning of the third mile, I experienced a pain in my side unlike any pain I had ever felt before. It was a difficult race to finish, as I wanted to give up. It would have been acceptable if I gave up, as we later learned I experienced a diaphragm spasm. Instead, I remembered the goal I set for myself, to be fully present in every workout and race, and to push through every obstacle I faced. So, I ran on, finished with a career personal record.

One specific player that kept me sane was Napheesa Collier. One of my best friends and also THE best basketball player I have ever played with, she showed me what it took to be a great athlete. Not only is she one of the best women’s basketball players in the country playing at UCONN, but she is also one of the humblest people I have ever met. I believe that she is another person that helped me find my passions for the game. Playing with her for 3 years was one of the best experiences for me because I was challenged by her hard work ethic every day in practice and got to guard her every single day.
Rudy showed “blessed are the meek” towards these people. Rudy’s family were some of the people who did not believe in him. When Rudy was sitting with his family by the television, he told them that he wanted to play for his family’s favourite football team, and his whole family laughed at him. Some of the most important people in Rudy’s life were also some of the least supportive people. When a child hears that someone so important to them believe that their dream will just be a dream, it is really hard for them.
