There are situations where a discount obviously is in place, such as buying a flawed item or any bulk purchase. However, realize that almost any price is up for negotiation and challenge any seller, especially if a potential discount is worthwhile. A seller will try to set the stage; one way to do this might be to claim that they do not provide discounts, do not let this stop you.

The costlier the buy, the more important it is to achieve the best possible price. Prices of housing, cars and furniture are often negotiable, but you should find almost no limit to what is up for negotiation.
