The four holy places where the Kumbh Mela: Haridwar, Allahabad (Prayag), Nashik and Ujjain. There are four types of Kumbh Mela: Kumbh Mela (every three years), Ardha Kumbha Mela (every six years), Purna Kumbha (every twelve years) and Maha Kumbh (every 144 years). This unique collection is associated with a number of deep-rooted beliefs, and it is happening on the banks of four rivers: the Ganges, Trivenik (merging of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers), Godavari and Shipra. Ganga is located in Haridwar, Triveni at Prayag in Allahabad, Godavari in Nashik and Ujjain in Shipra. Ardha Kumbh takes place in Haridwar and Allahabad.
