2.3.1 Korean Entertainment
According to Binatli et al. (2014) entertainment is the activities which enables the people to have joyful time particularly in their free times, helps them relax and forget especially the current situation. All kinds of the activities that people do in their leisure time except for working, and the activities that people love.
So for Korean entertainment, its means that the Korean activities which enables the followers to have joyful time particularly in their free times. The Korean activities that people love are watching drama, movie, television show, sport and concert. Originating from ancient agricultural and nomadic traditions in the Korean peninsula and southern Manchuria, Korean cuisine has evolved through a complex interaction of the natural environment and different cultural trends.
Korean cuisine is largely based on rice, vegetables, and meats. Traditional Korean meals are noted for the number of side dishes that accompany steam-cooked short-grain rice. Kimchi is served at nearly every meal. Commonly used ingredients include sesame oil, doenjang (fermented bean paste), soy sauce, salt, garlic, ginger, pepper flakes, gochujang (fermented red chili paste) and napa cabbage.
Ingredients and dishes vary by province. Many regional dishes have become national, and dishes that were once regional have proliferated in different variations across the country. In 1443, King Sejong who is fourth king of Joseon-dynasty Korea supervised the creation of Hangeul (the Korean alphabet) and promulgated it to the people three years later, in 1446. The shapes of the Korean alphabet were based on the shapes made by the human vocal apparatus during pronunciation. Many scholars have stated that Hangeul is the most scientific and easy-to-learn writing system in the world.
