Today’s world contain large amount of available data which is increasing day by day. Internet is a big source of availability of data and information in the form of documents, pdfs, web pages, emails, news articles and much more. It is difficult for an individual to the find most relevant information from huge amount of data and impossible to analyze the data effectively. Information retrieval is such a difficult task for an individual, it can be performed on summaries of documents rather than the original documents, hopefully giving faster and better results. Information Extraction can be performed on summaries rather than the original documents [13]. Different methods, techniques and models are being used to retrieve the useful information from the large …show more content…
NLP is concerned with natural or human languages - languages which we human beings use for day to day communications, as against artificial languages such as computer and robot programming languages [13]. The terms Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics have been used interchangeably. Natural Language Processing started off as a part of Artificial Intelligence (AI), a discipline with two broad goals - 1) to understand the nature of human intelligence and 2) to build intelligent systems [13]. NLP is a technology that concerns with natural language generation (NLG) and natural language understanding (NLU) [13, 15] NLG makes sure that generated text is grammatically correct and fluent. Most NLG systems include a syntactic realizer to ensure that grammatical rules such as subject verb agreement are obeyed and text planner to decide how to arrange sentences, paragraph and other parts coherently. The best Known NLG application is machine translation. NLU consists of at least of one the following components; tokenization, morphological or lexical analysis, syntactic analysis and semantic analysis
The consequences also show that the term classification can be effectively approximated by the proposed clustering method. The proposed methodology is reasonable and robust. This paper demonstrates the new models totally tested and prove the results statistically significant. The paper also proves that the use of unrelated opinion is considerable for improving the performance of relevance feature discovery models. A promising methodology for developing effective text mining models for RFD discovery based on both positive and negative
Hearst’s[] works was based on classification of documents using sentiments. A text based systems should provide more information about the content apart from what the standard information retrieval system provides. This is should be done in a manner by avoiding complex and resource consuming behaviour of understanding the contextual meaning. His idea is to approach document discovered based on directionality of the sentence. This is carried out by coercing the sentences into smaller metamorphic models for better semantic understanding and interpretation.
Siftying through text to find unobvious
Today, the widespread proliferation of available information has caused our modern era to be dubbed the “Information Age”. Never before have so many people had access to so many sources of previously specialized knowledge and
Instead of spending hours in a library and looking through different resources and databases for an answer, information can be easily retrieved with just
General Douglas Macarthur of the US Army once stated “the soldier above all other people prays for peace, for he must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war”(General Douglas MacArthur's Farewell Speech to West Point). This quote truly emphasizes the effects that war has on the men who fought in them. The mental strain that war causes can be seen in the main character of In The Lake Of The Woods, John Wade. In the novel, author Tim O’Brien utilizes constant repetition as well as violent visual imagery to depict how in times of great stress, people commit actions without realizing their haunting consequences, such as Kathy’s possible escape.
In chapter’s five to eight, Hyde maintains simple word choice, phrases, proverbs and vivid descriptions to elaborate on significant aspects of his childhood memories as a Creole boy growing up in Old Belize. In these chapters, Hyde continues to narrate his memoir with the use of Creole and English language to give his readers an insight into the Hyde’s family traditions and beliefs. Due to the fact that he maintains simple word choice blended with adjectives and figurative language, he creates this playful, innocent mood and effect throughout the chapters. In chapter five, Hyde uses a lot of descriptive words to describe his genealogy and family members.
However, other constraints can be set as well, e.g., the part-of-speech tag of a specific token in the expression itself or before or after the temporal expression. For the normalization, it use normalization resources containing mappings between an expression and its value in standard format. Furthermore, linguistic clues are applied to normalize ambiguous expressions. For example, the tense of a sentence may indicate the temporal relation between an expression and its reference time.
Introduction Are you an everyday internet user? If so I strongly suggest carefully reading and examining this topic. The internet is a vast place. It is a very useful tool, as it has become the primary source of our knowledge.
Due to technology, language is changing all the time, for example, cellular telephones and computers and the effect they have on our communication skills. The positive side of the language required with new technology, is that it is constantly evolving, challenging our minds extending our reading and writing skills with the added bonus of saving a lot of time having lengthy
A translator may subject him-/herself either to the original text, with the norms it has realized, or to the norms active in the target culture, or in that section of it which would host the end product. Translation is a complicated task, during which the meaning of the source-language text should be conveyed to the target-language readers. In other words, translation can be defined as encoding the meaning and form in the target language by means of the decoded meaning and form of the source language. Different theorists state various definitions for translation.
Abstract Big data is everywhere. Big data revolution is creating paths to collect and analyze information of varying sizes, types and volume. It’s not only used in sectors like marketing, sales and product development. The potential use of big data is also spread to HR and Finance which help in finding new insights and strategic decision making.
Linguistics differs from traditional grammar in several basic ways. Linguists are interested that what is said, not ought to be said. They describe language in all its aspects, not prescribe rules of correctness. They regard the spoken language as primary not the written
