All of it depends on the context and meaning of every word that shows it differently. Data and information is knowledge or something that is used to achieve knowledge. Although used constantly, but there are many differences between the meaning and purpose of these two words.

Data may be disclosed when it refers to the lowest abstract or raw to processed inputs and outputs are arranged to make something meaningful. Data is also a group that represents the qualitative and quantitative nature. From the data, a result obtained becomes information.

Information can be summed up as perception, knowledge or instructions. Also can be define as understanding or knowledge that can be exchange with anyone. It may be the facts, concepts or anything related. Information will occur when there is data that is suitable for use. The basic difference between structured data and unstructured data is in a very mechanical and manageable. Ready to use structured data in databases or file formats such as XML and structured. Unstructured data is the raw material and is not contrived. The processes unstructured data can be complicated and costly. using e-mail is a good example for unstructured data. This is because in the e-mail with the date, time, sender, recipient, and subject, but the framework of the e-mail remains unstructured. Other example, of unstructured data is books, documents, and medical records.

In today's world, an organization working to gather information into structured data. However, the cost and time associated with such information is unfeasible. Meanwhile, e-mail address is almost unstructured. But not to say that structured data has absolutely no problem in explaining.
