My grandfather, who fought in Vietnam, is a hero. I appreciate what he and our founding fathers and veterans have given us, they gave us freedom and hope for the future.

A veteran is someone who has served a long time in the military, no matter what their age. Veterans are important to our freedom because while serving their time, you have to remember that they are fighting for your right to be free in the United States. Without them, there wouldn’t be any freedom in this world. They fight for what they believe in and what is right for the country. You have to remember, these war vets are putting their lives on the line for people they don’t even know. Having a good understanding of this will brighten your mind on how much they devote their lives to this. When anyone chooses to go into the military, they will spend many months away from their family and loved ones. These vets defend everyone no matter what race, gender, age, or religion and they show that by giving us back the freedom that they fought for. To

Do you know someone who is a veteran, perhaps a family member or a friend? Do you know what they had to go through? How they risked their lives for you and our country. Well today I am going to tell you what they had to go throw, what they sacrificed, and why they served.

In the United States, serving in the military is seen as a model of true patriotism, and rightfully so. Service members train for 10 weeks in their transition from civilian to a soldier. They train to be able to endure all the hardships that may come their way. Service members have to be in the best physical shape to serve and because of all that they do, they are thought of as brave and selfless people. Service members make extreme sacrifices to defend our country and act selflessly by doing so; it is fitting that they are seen as heroes by many Americans. Because of all the training that soldiers to do to make them stronger for war, a common misconception people have is thinking that veterans come back from war stronger mentally and physically. What a Veteran means to me. It means, freedom, honor, putting their life on the line everyday. So that me, my mom, my dad, my sister, my grandparents,and the rest of my family and friends can have freedom. We all have freedom and we owe them our respect because if it was not for God and a Veteran who knows how this world would be. We celebrate Veterans Day every year on November 11th to honor the men and women who served and is still serving our wonderful country. We shouldn’t honor a veteran just once a year but everyday because they are protecting us everyday. When we say the pledge in the mornings we should be thinking about our veterans and what they did for us.

I have a few people in my family that are veterans. Their service means alot to me. I admire them for their for their bravery and loyalty to their country. They inspire me in many ways such as to be brave even if the situation requires only a small act of bravery, and to speak out against something I know is wrong. To me veterans need to be honored every day for their service.

Many times, veterans will be seriously injured while in service. Whether it’s a physical or mental injury, they are serious. Secondly, sometimes in the military, women will be sexually assaulted which can lead to mental illnesses and cause them to be homeless when they come back home from the military. Lastly, many times veterans will have children that they have to come back to after their time in the military and if the parents get injured, that can affect the children significantly.

Moreover, our countrymen had a choice to become anything they wanted, but they chose to defend our great country and freedom we so graciously enjoy. Now is not the time to dismiss such bravery not to mention commitment. The people of the United States need to stand by our soldiers

I appreciate all the things that they have done to help our country. Whether they fight in the army or work with the science or computers in the army. I can’t imagine the feeling of your family thinking and worrying about you every second of their lives. I would never have the guts to volunteer for the army. But many people do and I admire that.

Nearly every American can recite the final lines of our National Anthem. However, few take the time to truly contemplate the meaning of these words. When I hear these phrases, I think of the principles on which our country was founded: the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. But perhaps more important than these rights are the defenders of them: our veterans.

Veterans day was originally called Armistice day. It got that name at the end of World War One. But the name changed to Veterans day some time after World War Two, to honor veterans from both wars. Every year, we celebrate Veterans day. Whether it is having a moment of silence, or just thanking a veteran, it is important that we do something. They sacrificed a lot for us, and we need to show our appreciation. Memorial day and Veterans day get confused, Memorial day is honoring veterans who have passed away, Veterans day is to honor ALL veterans. They risked or even lost their lives for us and for our country. We need to show them that what they did for us

Colin Kaepernick, the quarterback of the San-Francisco 49ers, chose not to stand for the National Anthem at a recent National Football League game. Instead, he decided to express his unhappiness with the way African Americans are being treated by police, by kneeling to the ground. This was his form of protest and attempt to convey his message about how he felt. Kaepernick does have the right to not stand for the National Anthem, however, it is disrespectful. People fight for our freedom, so why disrespect those men and women and an NFL game was not the right time or place to hold his protest.

Veterans do a lot for us by defending our country and our home. We thank them by having a full day dedicated to our veterans. Three reasons that I think veterans should be thanked for are; going out to defend our country when no ones else does, I also want to thank you for demonstrating a great work ethic and doing all of this work for people you don’t even know.

In the United States thousands of veterans are not able to leave behind the horrors and traumatic events they experience while at war. They bring the war home and have to re-experience it in their minds each and every day, no matter how much time has passed since their last battle or traumatic

Veterans are those who served in the military and fought in the war. They are someone who supported the country. Without them, United States of America would not be formed. Freedom, liberty, and pursuit of happiness are rights that we have today, but without the veteran these rights will be all gone and America will not be the America that we see today.They are the one who make our dream possible.It is important for us to honors these veterans who are hero to the people in United States.
