When you reach a certain level in ballet you reach every girls childhood dream, that dream is to be on pointe. Pointe shoes are hard ballet flat shoes, covered in pink satin and has ribbons. There are so many different types of pointe shoes that you might actually go insane. At the beginning of a new dance year and receive your schedule for classes and see that you are taking pointe class your heart flutters. Knowing that you have reached the highest level in ballet you get to and choose out a pair of pointe shoes, sew your ribbons and elastic onto them, and lastly able to put them on and good for go for class. Putting on your pointe shoes is not as complicated as it might look. All you need to do is slide your foot right in and wrap your ribbons around your ankle. When you need to wrap your ribbons around your ankle it is not like the cartoon drawings where the ribbons go half way up your calf making crosses. All you need to do is have one cross at the start of your ankle and then on the cross back all you do is overlap it. Your pointe shoes are all tied and now you are ready to rise up on your pointe shoes because you have the ability to have made it this far in the ballet world that you are now blessed with having the opportunity to go on pointe. The process of pointe shoes is harder than you might think, but all in all you deserve it. Being able to reach such an amazing dream, pointe shoes are your ticket to adult hood in the dance world. Pointe shoes are all about poise that you now have been able to achieve. Although the process of obtaining your perfect pointe show might take a while, but it is all worth it in the end.
