I’m going to be doing my presentation on Muhammad Ali. The reason why i chose him was because I thought he was a great person and I wanted to know more about him, like what he did, why he did things, and why he did things. The only thing i knew about him was that he was a boxer and that he was talking about how people shouldn’t be racist at some point.
Muhammad Ali was born in Cassius Clay in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1942. He was an olympic gold medalist in 1960 and the world heavyweight boxing champion in 1964. He also opened a Muhammad Ali center in his hometown Louisville, Kentucky. Ali said “ I am an ordinary man who worked hard to develop the talents he was given. Many fans wanted to build a museum to acknowledge my achievements. I wanted more than a building to house my memorabilia. I wanted a place that would inspire people to be the best that they can be at whatever they choose to do, and to encourage them to be respectful of one another” Even though he still had the disease, Ali remained active in public life. He celebrated an being the first African American president in January 2009, when Barack Obama was sworn into office. After the inauguration, Ali received the NAACP for his public service efforts. Ali has been married to his fourth wife, Yolanda, since 1986. He had one son, Asaad, Ali had several children from previous relationships including his daughter Laila, who followed his footsteps in becoming a champion
He slowly walks at the back of the pack, through the tunnel with number 42 on his back. They walk out and the crowd roars, but not for him. Born January 31, 1919 in Cairo, Georgia, Jackie Robinson came to be one major civil rights activist in MLB Baseball. He was the youngest of five that lived with their mother, Mallie Robinson, in poverty.
While doing so he had become “World colored Heavyweight Champ” and “World Heavyweight Champion”. He had the “fight of the Century” against James J. Jeffries on July 4, 1910. Jeffries had come out of retirement just to fight Johnson. Jeffries was the former undefeated heavyweight champion. During the 15 round of the fight Jeffries corner pulled him out of the fight because Johnson managed to knock him down twice which had never been done before.

Jackie Robinson I have always admired Jackie Robinson and have always looked up to him as a hero. I played baseball for seven years of my life and during that time I have always loved the Dodgers. Furthermore, Jackie Robinson is an American hero for all colored people, African Americans especially. He didn’t care what people thought of him even though most people and players hated him, he just loved playing baseball and he was good at it. He fought through adversity and became one of the greatest baseball players of all time.
Jackie Robinson was born on January 31st, 1919 in Cairo Georgia. Was the youngest of five children, so wasn’t noticed by his parents much. His brother, Mack, was a track star, earning a silver medal in the 1936 Olympics, the main reason that Jackie was drawn to sports at such an early age. In high school, Jackie lettered in four different sports, baseball, football,
In 1964, Muhammad Ali, one of America’s most polarizing and famous athletes for his boxing career, was being drafted to the military. Ali fizzled the U.S. Military qualifying test in light of the fact that his written work and spelling aptitudes were below the national standard. Because of the Vietnam War spiraling down as a lost war effort, the test norms were brought down in November 1965. Ali was then ultimately eligible for the draft and was to be named into the military. He was also going to be called for an act of duty due to the lack of soldiers in Vietnam, an already unpopular war (Cassius Marsellus CLAY, Jr.).
Malcolm X “You can’t separate peace from freedom, because nobody can be at peace unless he has his freedom.” These words came from the mouth of Malcolm X, but who was he? Some people call him deranged, others call him too radical. But truthfully, Malcolm X was one of the most influential African Americans in history.
He gave people hope that they can turn their life around during the depression. He lost everything including his children as many Americans did. However, he got that back by boxing which was all he had in the end. He thought risking his life was worth getting his children back, which inspired many people. In addition, made lots of people risk everything.
Muhammad Ali was a very influential person in the civil rights movement. He paved the way for equal rights in sports because he endured the hatred professionally. If he did not accept the discrimination in the manner that he did, then the sports would have rejected all colored people because they were perceived as temperamental fighters who couldn’t hold their anger in. As a result of his actions, the U.S. has improved much of their segregation laws and now has equality all over. During the times of Civil Rights, he did not know that he was making such an impact; he just wanted to be equal as every other person and he wanted to make sure others were being treated right as well.
Muhammad Ali has significantly benefitted modern society by creating equality between African Americans and whites, helping fight for a cure for Parkinson’s disease, and increasing the popularity of the sport of boxing. Muhammad Ali was not just one of the greatest boxers of all time; he was one of the greatest examples of all time. Muhammad Ali always said he wanted to be, more than a boxer, he wanted to inspire people all over the world (“Hauser”). To do this, Ali visited a lot of organizations such as, Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Special Olympics making dreams of the young kids a reality.
Jackie Robinson devoted his life to the civil rights movement by breaking the color barrier, transforming the face of sports, his work as an activist to stop segregation, and make the country the best it could be. Jackie Robinson was born in Cairo
Verdict of the Trial of Genghis Khan. After the trial had taken place, I decided that Genghis Khan and the Mongols were uncivilized. During the time of the trial I learned much more of the brutality that had taken place during his reign. The barbaric attitudes and actions of himself and his followers is what led to him being found guilty of being uncivilized.

There have lived many great people throughout the course of history who have left major influences in the world. The most important influences come from major religious figures, as their ideas and teachings have influenced society and politics. The most influential of all the religious figures in Islam was the Prophet Muhammad, and his achievements influence the modern economy, politics, and society. Muhammad was born in 570 in Mecca, a town in what is now called Saudi Arabia. His father died before he was born, and his mother and a nurse raised him until the age of five or six, until his mother died of illness.
