Only having a gun around and relying on its intimidating look will scare an attacker off is really not a good idea. You can´t know if he tries to take it from you, fight for it with you or even worse – pull out his own gun and you bet, he will be ready to use it. So after you are really determined to get a firearm, next question that comes into mind is the sort of firearm you want. A pistol is easy to conceal and carry with you anytime.
It’s a true fact that people kill people, not guns. However, people use guns to kill people. So then, it would be understandable to think that it is necessary to control who can get guns. But yet, a large number of guns are sold to people whose backgrounds aren’t checked. This means America isn’t completely controlling who all can get guns — nobody is.
The United States of America is known to be a free country, but would it be defined as being free if permission is granted for citizens to have access to a gun(s) with them wherever they go? In my perspective, I strongly disagree with the fact of that specific reason which makes America an unfree country. This is hazardous because by carrying a gun around with you will often have the reasons like safety but it could also make you a terrorist like other people who want to use it to plot murder occasionally for money or revenge. Some people would agree and disagree with this idea because of many reasons. I personally think that banning guns is a better idea than keeping them for all citizens.
One of them is to protect themselves from intruders or if they are getting attacked. But, if we let everyone have a gun that will be just as dangerous as a professional with a gun. A professional will know when to use a gun but if just some random guy gets a gun he will use it at the wrong times and the wrong places.
Regarding the statement that whether citizens in United States should own guns, some people would say that arming themselves can prevent tragedy from occurring, while others assume that owning guns has been caused some problems and risks of violent events yearly. I tend to agree that guns for citizens should be reasonably banned in United States because of to reduce deaths from shootings and feasible solutions of gun-banning life. Guns in America has been already caused a large number of problems such as shooting and killing events. Guns are sometimes not considered as defending tools.
The people who want to go out and hurt someone obviously have it in their head to start off with, so they will find a way to get a gun or hurt someone in a different way, taking away gun rights isn’t going to stop people from killing if that’s what their initial intentions are in the first place. Adding to it, many Americans believe that that taking away gun rights is unconstitutional. “This is a freedom that Americans have acquired over time, but by banning guns it takes that freedom away, and thus going against the declaration of independence because it is a law that is restricting the people from their rights to own a weapon for protection.” (Debate). The biggest upset about the taking away guns from our people is the fact that it goes against everything America has always bragged out being, the land of the free.
The person who is in control of the firearm is the one who is responsible for the trigger being pulled and the bullet leaving the chamber. Therefore, the firearm should not be the one to blame for the individual that pulls the firearm’s trigger. Many people will also bring up the point that there are countries in the world that have less gun violence than other countries. “Obtaining any of these types of guns requires citizens to attend gun safety classes; take written and practical gun-use tests; and submit to drug tests, background checks, and psychological evaluations” (“Gun Control”). This is an example of the legal process the citizens of Japan must go through in order to
The United States should not add stricter gun laws because Guns are used to protect people, guns are used for hunting, and the guns are not the problem the people using them are the problem. If guns were in the right hands then there would be no reason to ban them. The United States should not add stricter gun laws because gun are used to protect other people. People use guns to protect themselves from bad people trying to kill them.
Topic: Ownership of Guns for non-professional reasons should be illegal in the United States General Purpose: To argue. Specific Purpose: The specific purpose of this speech is to argue for outlawing private gun ownership in the United States. Central Idea/Thesis Statement: Private ownership of guns in the United States should be illegal. Various specific reasons are presented to support this statement: (1) Banning private ownership of firearms, and, their distribution, would save a large number of lives that are lost as the result of gun violence.
The last but not least method that could be used is to have everyone carry around pepper spray. This could be used if an innocent person was in a close proximity to the person that had the gun. Again, it would stop the person but it would not be lethal if it was to be used on the wrong person. There are many other ways to protect students and faculty without the use of guns which are one of the most deadly weapons that could be
Electronic surveillance is also under the Fourth Amendment, so the law enforcement cannot watch you with any type of electronics of any sort. Furthermore, your personal items: backpack, house, or phone are considered your property so the law enforcement can search any of them without the citizen’s permission or proved as reasonable. Although of all of the advantages of the Fourth Amendment, a disadvantage is that for the law enforcement it makes accumulating evidence
many people in our nation have different views and can easily argue on wither or not Gun Control is being implemented or not. the question is if gun control nonsensical. in my opinion, it is not but that facts that there are people who believe that the supreme courts need to take away our right to guns from every individual is out rages. the reason why the passing of elimination guns will never happen is because, if the government were to take away the citizens guns it would be violating our Second Amendment which is defined as, a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. It also states that the right to bare arms allows us to protect ourselves
The Second Amendment was never actually intended for everyday citizens. In the writing of the amendment it states militia meaning that it was only intended for them to bear arms. Citizens have found easy access to the weapons that they use in their shootings. Therefore, guns are put into the wrong hands, which means gun regulations should be stricter and allow a more detailed background check with mental health evaluations. There have been gun purchases where there has been a flaw in the background check system, allowing mentally ill or irresponsible people to obtain guns.
Guns themselves are not responsible for crime; it is the peoples who are guilty for it and using gun for killing peoples. Guns are the weapon which can be used for self-defense and protecting peoples but never hurting anyone. According to me government should restrict or normalize the use of guns by selling to people, because there are some good peoples who use gun for hunting, shooting practice and competition. As stated by Mytheos Holt, “Guns in the right hands help public safety. Guns in the wrong hands harm public safety”.
