What is actually Biopori? Biopori is water infiltration method that addressed to overcome puddles by increasing the absorbing power of ground. This method was invented by Mr. Kamil S. Brata, a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Soil Science and Land Management in Bogor Institute of Agriculture. Biopori formed as a cylindrical hole in a vertical way to the ground. This hole will trigger the emergence of soil naturally in ground. This method is the best thing to do to overcome the flood because: Firstly, It is Simple. We only need to make a about 100 cm hole in a place that vulnerable of emerging puddles and fill it up with organic material. Secondly, it’s cheap.
