(attention getter) I. Imagine you were a gay or a lesbian who has a long-term relationship with your partner already, would you like to get married with him or her?
(relate to audience) II. Don’t think this is none of your business because what if that’s your family members, friends or even if it’s you.
Would you like to have a happy ending with your partner as heterosexual couples?
(background) III. Homosexuality has been a feature of human culture since the earliest history in ancient Greece. It is accepted as cultural norm that certain forms of erotic attractions and sexual pleasure between males. Later, under the sway of Christian, Islamic, Jewish religions etc, it was disapproved.

B. Sexual orientation is also affected by acquired factors. (example) 1. Such as family background which in an unstable condition like, violent or single-parent families, childhood experience, personality, peer pressure, sexual experiences etc.
2. In some serious cases or extremes such as to be raped by the opposite sex may leave traumatic experiences that haunt victims which lead them lose confidence in building families with the opposite sex.
(transition) [Some people may argue that the homosexuality can be cured through treatments. However, representative organizations from worldwide (include Hong Kong), for instance The Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists, American Psychiatric Association, Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists etc have declared that homosexuality is not an illness and there is no scientifically proven evidence to support the attempts to change one's sexual orientation.
Moreover, treatments such “conversion therapy” are not effective.
