The reason for this is almost 100 colleges in the US have gymnastics teams. Not only can you continue to do gymnastics and do what you love, you can even earn a helpful scholarship! As a result, if you go to college and get on the gymnastics team, you can make friends quickly because you have something in common with your teammates. Now if you take Simone Biles for instance, she trained so hard in gymnastics and got to go to the Olympics. Not only did she get to go to the Olympics, which is pretty dang hard to do, but she won 1st all around, floor, and vault!
The factors of being a sport are; having athletic ability, competitions, championships. Right now, cheerleading is three for three. Cheerleading contains stunting and tumbling which fall under athletic ability. Also, there are thousands of cheerleading competitions held each year, and championships. Just last year the International Olympic committee agreed with cheerleaders everywhere that cheerleading is a sport.
A cheerleader is like an elastic band, they are flexible, they stretch, and they spring when they get flung into the air. Cheerleading is intense and fiercely competitive but most people deny the fact that cheerleading is an actual sport. The definition of a sport is “an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment” (“sport”,par1). This definition applies to cheerleading just as much as it does any other “sport.” Meaning, cheerleading is and should always be considered a “sport.” Cheerleading requires both technical skills and physical fitness. Much like Doyne, cheerleaders often argue, “Why should cheerleading not be considered a sport when it required a
There are many reasons why I would like to be a Dynamic Dazzling Dolphin cheerleader. I will be a perfect added benefit, due to my personal belief that most cheerleaders have great attitudes and exemplify a great amount of confidence. I have participated in field and competition cheerleading and both were exciting. At this time I would be honored to put forward the effort to cheer for my school. Due to my involvement in numerous extra-curricular activities, I have been able to greatly improve my leadership abilities. Throughout by six years in cheerleading, I have learned how to be a good representation of my school by doing what was right, even if I was doing it alone. At the beginning of my senior year, I was proclaimed as captain of the Varsity squad. With this position, I have worked to represent both my squad and my school by making the tough decisions and keeping spirit alive. To me, being a cheerleader meant being a leader first and cheering second.
Nothing is more beautiful than helping others. The word help clearly states to give or provide what is necessary, to accomplish a task or satisfy a need; contribute strength or means to; render assistance to; cooperate effectively with; aid; assist. When I’m older and more capable I would love to be able to give my knowledge on the sport I love to people around the world who share the same interest as me. I 've always wanted to do this because growing up cheering was very difficult especially with three other sisters who all cheered. Cheerleading is a very expensive sport, my all-star cheer program varied from 5,000-7,000 dollars per year, per athlete.
Simone is the favorite for gold, and with her history, power, and talent, she could be walking away with many, if not all of the gold medals from Rio. Simone Biles is a young, inspiring athlete. Her credentials alone are enough to make anyone want to be the best in their field, but her raw talent, perky personality, and jaw-dropping ambition to be the best, as well as have fun, make her one of the most legendary and iconic athletes in the world. She won 't be going away anytime soon, and as long as she keeps going, she 'll keep on inspiring for many
All throughout my life, Gymnastics has been one of my greatest passions. I have had so many amazing and unforgettable memories in the gym. One of the best memories I have ever had, was actually in the gym when I accomplished my round off back handspring back tuck. It was such an amazing memory because a lot of hard work and time was put into this skill. It was great to finally realize and see that everything I had put into this skill was now paying off and coming out.

Marella will also testify regarding her skill, training, experience as a coach, certifications and related course work.
Cheerleading teams can compete nationally with other cheerleading teams around the world. There are many reasons why I would like to earn a scholarship for Pensacola Children’s Chorus. I believe, and have been told, that I strongly expemplify most of the traits, if not all, that are desired in PCC scholarship winners. For one, I am known as a very positive and energetic person, and preforming is my passion. I am very happy doing it, even when I have to sing and dance for hours on end. I can’t imagine myself doing much else with my life than preforming, acting, singing, etc.
