Those four skills are related and have their own role for learners to learn the language. When students are learning the language, they are aimed to use it for communication. Abott (1992) explained the communication as “Passing information to somebody” which means that learners should be able to speak to others to transfer the information. In his book, Abbot (1992) stated that, “The more you try to motivate them … the more eager they will be to communicate”. Therefore, the use of interaction in speaking class is needed in order to augment learners’ speaking ability. Schweers Jr (1999) research proved that L1 is useful to construct better understanding and to have better interaction in class.

Mother Tongue was originally part of a speech that Amy Tan had given while she participated in a panel entitled,”Englishes: Whose English is it anyway?” in 1989. The author describes in detail how she finds herself using various forms of English, depending on who she is around. She also makes the point on how hard life can be for someone who doesn’t speak good English.
In the essay “ Mother Tongue”(1990), Amy Tan, the connections between languages and cultures have a purpose and value, argues that “ I am a write and by definition, I am someone who has always loved language”(79) the differents ways the one interprets the different languages. Tan describe the varieties of languages and the type of person who tries to understand when there is someone whose English was not their first language. Used examples in order to convey the importance of language ( Forbes report ) that her mother's read, (Wall Street Week) that her listened; those were the ways to strengthen their English as he could and had the ability to speak. Tan speaks to English language in a compassionate tone so they can relate.
In Amy Tan‘s essay “Mother Tongue” (1999), she describes her life with her mother in America and how the broken speech of her mother has had an influence on her life. Amy Tan talks about the different “Englishes" she speaks to communicate with different people. Also, she tells us about her love for English and how she becomes a famous writer in America. In her essay she tries to shows us that language, culture, and education shapes us into who we are and the more you study English the more you learn and English will change your life a lot.
After reading Mother Tongue by Amy Tan, my perspective changed about the struggles for people who are not as good at English. All throughout this article Tan uses personal experience from her mom to show the readers the struggle while also using primary sources to back up her claim. All the evidence backs up her initial claim and as the reader your perspective changes after reading about how she personally was effected. The author 's main claim of Mother Tongue is to persuade people so respect people who struggle with English because she has serval personal connections, she has fact based proof, and she is an experienced writer on this topic and in general. All throughout the reading she uses many personal stories and personal experiences on how difficult it was for her mother to go through her everyday life.
Social factors: Parents, carers and teachers are the people who can be considered among first people to initiate child’s development in his early years. From the social perspective the first point which affects child’s language and communication is child’s relationship with an adult and very next part is the sufficient time for interaction from that adult and in addition to the quantity of time, adults also have to be skilful in the way they work. Other social factors which affects children’s language and communication development are Bilingualism or multilingualism, having parent with a reading disability and child’s cultural background, coming from a household where the child has few opportunities to experience spoken or written language.
As she gives an example in the article related to this idea, a professor of Romance language who was fluently in three languages French, Italia and Romanian but his mother language was Polish. The last language that he loses before the disease of Alzheimer raid him was his mother language, it proves that how valuable is our mother tongue (p.2). In addition, his article discuss about the deep relationship of a human being with their mother language. She mentioned that mother language is not something to get rid of it or to lose it even by learning another language because our mother language is our first love word which we learn from to guide and make our first feeling of this amazing world
Speech skills are referred to as receptive language skills and include making sounds to form words or the act of talking. Language skills are referred to as expressive language skills and entail using words to communicate what we feel or mean, and also being able to understand what others say. Children begin absorbing and learning their language and speech abilities right from the time they are in the womb. However, most of the developments take place between the ages of 2 and 5 years.
People prefer to use talk in their communication rather than reading/writing because they believe it is produced rapid interaction. I will discuss about some characteristic for everyday talk in English language, the structure & the function of the talk, some theories of sociologist & philosophers in the field of conversation
“The place to start when learning to communicate across cultures is to become aware of proxemics, how close to stand or sit when communicating. We each have an invisible circle that surrounds us called (personal space) “. (Gonzalez-Mena, 2008) I am a friendly person, so generally, I like to be close to the person I’m talking to. If a stranger stands close to me I will feel comfortable.
What is the teacher doing? The teacher would start the lesson by having the students explain the importance of conversation.
Experts have revealed that 65% to 90% of the communication is non-verbal. To explore the importance of nonverbal communication in actual classroom setting and to investigate the effect of the skill on teaching-learning process. The study will promote awareness in both teachers and the taught about non-verbal communication. It would also pave the way for introducing new trends in the teaching learning process for promoting better learning of the English language students. The recommendations of the study will be useful for educators, English language teachers and curriculum planners.
This will benefit those children who learn a foreign language, like English in my kindergarten, with the help of their mother tongue (Japanese or Chinese) retain the learning and vocabulary faster. Mother tongue based learning offers substantial academic and educational advantages which have been reported consistently in the academic literature (Baker 2001). The fourth area is to include parents in the decision making process in the Kindergarten. Epstein (2001) developed a framework consisting of six types of parental involvement.
First, the speech development is one of the first tools that child will demonstrate in their first learning situation. Then, it is important to have language development skills at first. By this kind of activities, the children engaged in speaking with other peers may have cooperative ideas in play any task given by the teacher. There also verbal and non-verbal interactions involved between two or more person that contribute to the social interactions that can improve their communication skills. Basically, through this method, there no children left behind because all the children need to interact to each other to complete the

Language is one of the most important aspects in life, it is used to express feelings and inner thoughts. It makes sense of complex and abstract thoughts, and also makes it easier to communicate with others.• Language can be defined as verbal, physical and biologically innate. Behaviorists often define language as a learned behavior involving a stimulus and a response (http://languagedevelopment.tripod.com/).• Babies are born without language do they not already have a form of language at birth however before they even go to school they learn the rules of language, this leads to the question do babies have knowledge before they learn language? Many theorists have come up with theories regarding language development in human beings and these are mainly
