If I cannot relax and concentrate on what I am going to write, then I work myself into a confused panic that just wastes time. I have done many things to try to snap myself out of this mindset, and this semester I found the solution. Just staring a blank page makes me panic, but if I can get the first sentence out then unplugging the computer is the only way to get me to stop writing. I have learned that I overthink the topic, so just starting helps me calm down and frees my mind from this anxiety. Everything just starts flowing when I just start typing, not really focused on writing the paper.
When a person over thinks, it leads to procrastination which leads to being stressed out . Overthinking is not healthy for our minds and it disrupts our way of life, while ambition itself is a great thing to have. Overthinking is almost never a superior trait to have. If you are overanalyzing too much, then you can never come to a decision because a lot of times, you are just supposed to quickly think. In our modern society, many occupations require quick thinkers such as police officers, doctors, firefighters, and world leaders as the lives of others are in their hands.
I get very distracted, I often have to stop whatever I’m doing and just day dream or I get lost in my phone. I also learned I shouldn't write multiple essays at once with the television on, that only blocks my creativity. The brain, like any other muscle, can get taxed due to multitasking switching between tasks and making multiple decisions might tire your brain to an expanse that a person might end up being a poor or less-effective decision maker. Multitasking can be a waste of time, and multitasking increases one stress levels, and anxiety. I read multitasking can cause the heart to beat extremely fast and that cause a steady flow of stress hormones.
My phone is my achilles heel, and when I’m writing the damage done by it increased tenfold as often just looking at my notifications will cause me to go adrift in my social media apps, or even mobile apps, and as a result my writing becomes sloppy. My distractions aren’t limited to my phone either simply listening to music will cause to lose my train of thought as I will typically begin to sing along with the music. I do however have some good habits as the previously mentioned planning of what I want to say in my writing as while at times it does harm me most of the time it really helps me build the foundations for my paper and execute it to my heart 's desire. I have many bad bad habits, and I plan to drive my those habits away to make way for good writing habits in the future that will help me become a better
