When I was in the car, heading to the workplace of my parent where the interview was scheduled to be conducted at 2:00 pm, I was nervous and wished the interview happened at another date. However, I kept reminding myself many times, that the earlier I have this interview finished, the better it is for me since I do not have to worry about it anymore. Also, I was worried that my cellphone would not record the interview. I wished that I had not thought whether my cellphone would record or not on the day of the interview. As well, I wished I had not prepared the day before and the day of the interview. When I was at the place of the interview, I was walking back and forth probably because I was nervous to conduct the interview.
Don Taylor came exactly at 2:00 pm as he said he would. When I shook his hands and he was in my presence, I was not that nervous. I regret that I was not as clear and concise when I told him about what the project was.

He is willing and will be more than happy to help anyone like myself if he could. When the interview was over, he asked if there was anything else, and to contact him if I ever wanted to learn more about how to be a good leader, have the interview again and required his help. He wished me well and hoped he presents me the diploma and shakes my hand at my graduation from College of Central Florida as he is one of the board of directors of the college. From the experience, I certainly learned a lot. I learned that I should be prepared days before something big like this takes place and for anything else. As well, I learned what makes a good leader which I agree with. The interview will influence whether I want to hold a leadership position and if I do, how to do a good job at it. Also, it was cool to learn that my parent is good friends with someone who is a board of directors of the college I attend and the college I am doing the project
From 2011-2014, I led a South Asian Bible Study group in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In our group, we had members from different backgrounds and nationalities such as: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Thailand, England, and the US. During that time, we noticed that many Pakistani Christian families, who fled from Pakistan because of persecution and draconian blasphemy laws, were seeking asylum in Thailand. My team members and I invited the Christian refugee families in our Bible study group and tried to assist them, as much as we could, so they can adjust to their new surroundings. The English language skill was one of the barriers for Pakistani Christian refugees, because most of Thai tourism jobs require good communicative English language skills, even for a mediocre job.
All of the different applications and components that were implemented can easily be observed and displayed in the project. My knowledge and understanding of my topic and global context have been drastically widened. The importance of giving every situation and obstacle in life your all, then placing that on a global scale is even more amazing. My knowledge of rhetorical appeal is greater than before and this will only benefit my communication skills, which goes a long way in our day an age. My self-management and brainstorming skills have been improved upon after this personal project.
Overall I learned different concepts that I never knew before. I learned how to better understand people and where they are coming from. In the end I got something out of the
In the end of my seventh grade year I got recommended by my teachers to be a part of the National Youth Leaders Conference in Washington D.C.. During that conference I learned how to exhibit my gifts and talents and collaborate with other leaders.
My mock motivational interview was done by myself as the therapist and Ph.D. student. Rachel, as my mock client. She is an active young adult who enjoys having drinks and going out to eat with friends and family. She try’s to eat healthily but is not ready to just stop eating her favorite foods cold turkey.
I had to prove to myself that I am good enough and with hard work I can achieve anything. This made me realize that nothing in life is handed to you and you have to work hard at whatever challenge is
Question 1 Peter Loescher was hired by Siemens when the company was experiencing extremely difficult times. After the bribery scandal, the main goal was to gain back the trust and respect from the customers and partners, as well as building a new vision. The company’s board of directors decided that they needed a person from outside of the company, who had no connection and loyalty to previous vision, and no affiliation with previous management team. In my opinion, the company owners hired Loescher for a specific purpose to change the overall team perception of how work is supposed to be done.
Because of my inability to provide a calm and silent environment as part of my interviewing techniques, I missed out on gaining potential relevant information about my client. In the future, I will provide a very calm environment that allows the client to really express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I will ask questions one at a time rather than grouping them together, and I will go into the interviews mentally prepared, thus removing any self-perceived awkwardness. I also will learn new interviewing techniques on how make your client feel appropriately validated and emotionally supported. I also need to work on my body language whenever conducting interviews in the future.
Additionally, as a counselor, it is important to be genuine with whatever feedbacks one presents to the patient and what one believes regarding the situation of the client. Mrs. Perez believes the more authentic and genuine he is with her patients, the more help he will be able to offer the clients. As a counselor, it is important to have a fine and professional interaction with one 's client but boundaries must be maintained. Through this, a counselor is able to demonstrate their focus on helping the patients by showing the client that they understand their problems. It also through such engagements that counselor is able to use the non-judgmental attention that does not require words for illustration in helping the patient.
The process for this speech was as follows, first was to decide what the speech topic would be. You gave me the idea of travel insurance during a conversation about the informative speech. Next was the research phase. I did find some articles using a database search of the HACC library and then used Google to check out some of the companies that provide insurance and what information was available. I then started on the preparation outline following the example of Monroe’s Motivated Sequence that you had provided us.
but I feel that it took longer than it should have, but that could be that I interview someone which I knew and the relaxed
Specifically, eating lunch with my assistant coach, Michael, and studying with my friends at the library. Although I might not go out of my way to do these things, they are nonetheless important to me and have significant impacts on my fulfillment in life. Both of these activities have become a norm for my time here at Baylor and I know that they give me a sense of calmness and clarity when I have a lot going on. Overall, this assignment opened my eyes to things I can do better, but also showed me some things I should appreciate more in my
I also learn that sometimes the person which is interviewing you can determine the mood on how the interview will go. If the person is in a good mood and give you smiles and laugh during the interview this can help decrease the nervousness in a person. The interviewer won’t be staring you down and harder to answer questions. If the interviewer looks like he or she is in a bad mood, no much laughter , asking the question fast to rush the interview or just give you a non-shallot mood it is going to take a lot out of you to bring yourself together to finish his you in life. interview.
I felt myself grow in my personal life. I feel happy with life. I got to experience fun moments with my significant other such as the excitement for my unexpected good essay grades or discuss the topics that were brought up in this class.
