The Inuit tribe believed that all thing’s have a spirit. The reason why, is because the Inuit tribe believed that if they disrespect nature the Gods would curse them. The reason why, I say that is because there ways are similar to the Inuit tribe. Just like the Inuit tribe, the Haida tribe believes everything has a spirit. They also hold ceremonies for either a funeral or a marriage. The weather out where the Haida tribe lives, they have summer hot days and they have winter. Clothes were very important in these winters. A lot of the Haida tribes clothes were made out of cheddar bark. On the hot summer days the Haida tribe would send out hunters and fishermen to catch enough fish and meat for the whole village to eat. The Haida tribe spoke two languages which are Kaat Kil and English. As you can see, the Haida tribe is always busy either doing ceremonies or fishing or hunting or working around the

The New Land discovers the wonders of myths and gods in regards to the Inuit and Mayan culture. The Inuits had a myth they believed called the Raven. The Raven was about how the Earth and humans were created. It was believed that the humans were born from pea-pods that raven had deposited in the ground. ”He had made the pea plant himself without any idea that something like this would happen.”
There are many reservations within the state of Minnesota, and most Ojibwe people who live within these reservations identify with a specific community more than the reservation that they live on. Not all Ojibwe people live on reservations. Some people do not follow the Ojibwe traditions and live normal Minnesotan life. Each reservation has multiple places with clusters of different families, traditional chiefs, history and cultures practices. “Connection to place is a critical; surviving attribute of the Ojibwe culture,” which can still be seen on reservations today with a strong sense of community shown in many ways among the Ojibwe people in Minnesota (Treuer 60).
Well, today we are going to be talking about the similarities and differences of two different tribes. One coastal tribe is a coastal tribe called the Puyallup tribe and the other is a Plateau tribe called the Nez Perce tribe. Coastal people and Plateau people did many things differently when it came to hunting and getting their food, but they also had similarities. One thing that the Puyallup Plateau people did to obtain food for their people was they hunted on land and in rivers for salmon. Coastal people ate steelhead, heming, smelt, flounder, flatfish, lingcod, rockfish, halibut, and surgeon.

Having been born and bred outside the United States, the city I grew up was more influenced by the people of India rather than Native people. Therefore, I began to search the Internet for Native tribes where I came across the Duwamish tribe. The Duwamish tribe lived in Seattle, Washington from the past 10,000 years, making them one of the oldest Native tribes that we know of in the entire world. Today, the Duwamish tribe are one of the few federally recognised Native tribes. In this research project I intend to gain a better understanding as to how a Native tribe that has existed since the glacier age has escaped being eradicated through both wars and disease.
All in all, when the seasons change both of the tribes clothing were still the same as each other but styled
All stories illustrate the beginning, with value and insight; indigenous knowledge is innately given. In an indigenous worldview, knowledge comes from the creator and from creation itself. The Haudenosaunee people are given principles to explicate for appropriate conduct to all of creation and its beings. The creation story illustrates that all of creation has a responsibility in growth, development, and sustainability; the great law of peace demonstrates how to live a “good mind”; the good message describes how to treat one another; the original instructions depict between the right and wrong doing’s; the symbolism of the wampum belts explicates the history of the Haudenosaunee people. These principles instruct humanity and assigns roles and

The Secrets of the Eastern Woodlands The Eastern Woodland Indians lived in a lifestyle that was greatly affected by their area of living. The food they ate, the clothes they wore, and the kind of homes they lived in were all a result of where they lived. The environment that the Eastern Woodland Indians lived in was filled with trees, animals, plants, rivers, lakes, and wildlife. Some of the tribes that lived in the Eastern Woodlands area were the Mohicans, Iroquois, Powhatan, Mohawks . The Geography played a critical role in the lifestyle of the area's First Peoples.
During their time there, they were always cold. They survived the seasons by eating and grew on crops such as corn, beans, and squash. They thought that the food they were eating was delicious and that they could not get anything better. Another way that they survived during the seasons was the clothing that they wore. They survived because they had clothing that kept them warm, cozy, and not frozen.
The Northwest Coast Indians are believed to have begun living on the west coast area of what we now know as Alaska, Washington State, Oregon, California, and British Columbia, Canada over 10,000 years ago. The Bella Coola, Haida, Nootka, and Tlingit are just a few of the tribes that make up the Northwest Coast Indians who were known as the richest Native American’s due to the large quantity of natural resources that were available to them in this region. Living along the coast, there was so much fish available for them to eat. They enjoyed such fish as salmon, halibut and cod.
The Coastal tribes had cedar longhouses to withstand the wet and cold climate while the Plateau tribes had teepees to make their migration needs possible, and because the Plateau tribes had hot, dry summers. Some

Nevertheless, the Native American also known to as the Red Indians and the Settlers had differences in many aspects of their economy, religion, and culture.
