Early in the eighteen, another Iroquoian-speaking tribe from North Carolina, known as Tuscarora, moved into the Iroquois Confederacy’s territory and became the sixth nation of the League as a result of escaping their fates being killed and enslaved by colonial settlers. The Iroquois Confederacy maintained their great peace based on the three principles about Good Word, Health, and Power, which were formed by their foundation government with the vision that everyone would eventually live in cooperation and the peace would spreading beyond the nations. Regarding the Good Word, in addition to its meaning of the righteousness in thought and action, it demanded the justice on the balance of the rights and obligations. The Iroquois Constitution is primarily based on peace and the structure of the people, for example, stated on page 24 “ If any man or any nation
This article’s title is “Inseparable Companions” and Irreconcilable Enemies: The Hurons and Odawas of French Detroit, 1701-38 and its author is Andrew Sturtevant. The thesis in this article is the sentence, “The Hurons ' and Odawas ' simmering hostility and eventual conflict demonstrate that native groups survived the Iroquois onslaught and that their interaction profoundly shaped the region”. In this article, Sturtevant is arguing that the Huron and Odawa are distinct nations with different culture and that because of the differences they had many disagreements, not simply because of the colonialism by the French. Sturtevant uses direct quotes from primary sources to show that the distinct nations fought because of their own differences,

Some injustices that these groups face range from lack of voting rights to police brutality, or so they essentially thought. The indigenous people of North America aren’t actually immune to these injustices, basically contrary to popular belief.
